This might avoid layoffs.
Anyone have a real sense of how bad tomorrow might be?
Assuming the rumors are true. It’s exhausting being kept in the dark like this. Our livelihoods are at stake.
Layoffs 1/29
I can confirm with 100% certainty that my department has layoffs tomorrow. 8 people are being eliminated. Not sure what other areas are doing but people will be impacted 1/29.
No layoffs on 29th, relax
I heard from senior management that there will be no layoffs in jan
Changes
Are any other departments implementing new and far out there changes? Our department was told today no one can start work before 7am even though we follow EST and some of the team are in different time zones. I feel like they are trying to see who... — read more
Rationally, I know I should want to survive the coming layoffs
It's brutally hard to find another job. I've been trying for a while and can attest to that. With most of us constantly on the brink of financial ruin and costs only rising, the fear is real. But this time, I'm not anxious about losing my job. I'm... — read more
Why isn’t Cigna posting WARN notices?
Companies are requires to give 60 days notice if they’re going to lay off 50+ people. The only way to get around this is to lay off in smaller numbers or spread layoffs across different locations. Since the Cigna is doing mass layoffs, it seems... — read more
Does anyone know how those impacted by the 1/29 layoffs will be notified?
Is it an email notice sent the day of 1/29? Is it a scheduled meeting? If so, how far in advance do your receive the meeting invite and what is the subject title? Who is on the call? HR? Your manager? How have folks been notified in the past?
U3000
Heard from a Band 5+ that Sales and Implementation U3000 is going to get hit this week. Any truth to this?
Worried about layoffs?
You're not powerless. You can certainly fight back. The whole point of the layoffs are to keep the already struggling Cigna stock value up. The goal of this is to please investors and because the CEO, David Cordani, is payed mostly in stocks (no... — read more
Is therapy a common thing now?
Just wondering if I'm the only one who started therapy recently because of this job. Almost all of my stress is from work. I was even thinking about medication because of it.

Strategy or Fatter Payoff for DC
Train wreck in every org coming. We struggle to manage operations with current staffing, and no way in he!! will HIH provide % of 1% support to keep lights on, nevermind manage strategy. All those on the 20 to 25% cut list, remember you followed... — read more
VRP vs. JE Benefits
Can someone explain the differences in what you are offered if you take the VRP vs what you get if laid off?
Stop Waiting
Stop waiting and do something about it. Update the resume, start looking and leave. There is life after Cigna / Evernorth or whatever it's called. It's one of the best things I've done! The stress you're putting yourself through is just not worth... — read more

For anyone who has a large balance of Standout points (Point Perks program) you may want to use them now, just in case you get whacked over the next few weeks.
VRP in future?
Any talk of VRP in future? It would be nice to plan ahead.
Bonus/Merit Funding
Looking through my team tonight, it appears that we are nearly fully funded. Merit is 2.5-3.0% and bonuses at 100%. Stock seemed a bit lower, but not too crazy.
JE's in February
If (or should I say "when" ) job eliminations happen in February after they review VRP numbers, will those eliminated still receive their 2025 bonus payout?
Sales on the list
I work in Sales and there are so many whispers that we are going to get hit hard. Does anyone else feel like they are walking on eggshells every day? We have lost a few AEs already.
Bonus payout in March - What is last day you need to be employed.
Hello- I'm lucky enough to have found myself another opportunity and trying to determine what is the last date I need to be employed to get my bonus.
Confirmed FTE's on 1/29
Weird timing of the month. It appears that this layoff largely depends on VRP acceptance. They want to start the year by offloading a huge burden. I've also heard that this is going to be a quarterly event for 2026. Has anybody seen any WARN report... — read more

VRP and 2025 Bonus
So, we need to confirm our participation in the VRP before 2025 bonus amounts are decided. Seems to me that a manager would want to minimize bonus amounts for soon-to-retire employees and bolster those who will remain on. Does anyone have any... — read more

VRP vs Layoff Severance?
So, if you are offered VRP and decline it, and then get laid off anyway, is the only difference COBRA coverage? Do you still get 2 weeks per year of service? Are there any other differences or perqs to VRP? TIA!
