Well I got a 5 minute meeting on the calendar. Wasn’t going to wait until Thursday, so just called my manager and got the news. I’m apparently the 10th one they’ve told already this morning.. Band 7 is getting hit the hardest it looks like.

If you’re part of the 2/19 layoffs with a final termination date of April 25, how many weeks severance are you receiving after April 25? The documentation shows minimums for each band level. For example 16 weeks min for Band 4. Have other Band 4s all received 22 weeks or does your number of years at Cigna add on (in pairs of 2 weeks) to the 16 weeks?

So, Arvind announced the GDP numbers last week… 0% for low, 3.4% for core and 6.8% for the top. Percentages will go up for 2026 to 5% for core and 10% for the top. That’s for bands up to 9.

For what it’s worth, I’m a retired PEP guy who unfortunately had to participate in a few layoffs. In the five or six major ones I went through I can NEVER recall looking at specific salaries or ranges. You normally were just given a target, and they were worth a generic amount (I.e.. an L-8 is worth $x, a Band1 is worth $y, etc.). Doesn’t make it any more humane or appropriate, but just sharing that unless things have changed in the past few years you don’t need to stress specifically on what your exact salary amount is. Anyone find anything interesting in the OWBPA document for their groups in the severance portal? I was surprised to see how many people in my group were affected and the band levels

How long did it take you to move from CL28 to 29? How much of a pay increase did you see when promoted?

I was expecting to start hearing something by now, leaders or even people on here posting some news. It doesn’t seem like anything is being announced today. I thought down to band 6 was happening today?

I am thinking that Band 8 would be safe due to our low pay, would you agree?

Does your Band 5 or Band 6 make the final call on your future ?

Regarding Ronita, I’m hearing that Finance leadership is actually calling band 6 employees to confirm it’s true.

Will any Sr Directors please comment on impacts at their level or what to expect next for band 6 and down?

Appears to be arbitrary in that folks with less technical work than me have it, folks equivalent to me in technical work have it, some folks that are more technical than me don't have it, some orgs hand it out like candy and others like mine seem to distribute it with a tight hand like its a promotion. Doesn't seem to make any sense and wondering if anyone can shed light on it.

Just a shame something so arbitrary can have a significant impact on compensation
