Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

30/70 employee ratio

I just got out of a meeting where my VP made it pretty clear that by end of this year, he wants a 30:70 employee ratio between USA and HIH. There was another thread here talking about this, but seems to have been deleted (I didn't know layoff.com deleted threads).

We are given a timeline now to make this happen and get our ratios aligned to this goal. I wonder how long before our turn to have our job be offshored.

@OP Not sure what dept the OP is in but can confirm this exact thing was re iterated at a roadmap session held by DevOps. Was literally in their slide deck. Thats not to spook anyone its just cold hard facts. Anyone that wants can look up the sessions in their confluence. If you havent Id start immediately on your plan B if your a dev. Who knows what they will offer this next round of cuts.

@a5 There's no racism to being off-shored to a country with pervasive cyber-crime because the profit statement to the shareholders is the only thing that matters.

How is that even possible ? Also blanket statements like these will only spread panic. You need to give some more context on which OU :m/ Dept you are referring to. Is there entire Cigna or some specific unit?
