Does anyone have reliable information on how many employees have been impacted by recent RIFs in the Tech organization?

I posted over a year ago how I had been RIF'd from CNC, had found a new job, and was promoted within 4 months of being there. I also pointed out how unprofessional and poorly the management was in my year there, and how they handled the lay-off (Dec. 2023).

The leadership in this thread were PI---D.

This post is for those emotionally struggling and worried about your job with Centene. Move forward with another company, consider a whole new area in the workforce, take a pay cut if you have to or can, and grow elsewhere.

Life is so much better outside of that place! I took a job I had to take to pay bills, but it was a blessing! 1.5 years later and Ive earned my CNC salary back! Better benefits and stock options!

After frontier and labor agreement settle, the rif will happen.

Optum failed to assess the massive over inflation of KSC payroll. These Clinic sites are massively over stacked with absent and incompetent leadership. In my small dept alone we have 8 unqualified supervisors and lost count of the amount of team leads. Not to mention a failed Manager with absolutely to social skills. So Steve, perhaps conduct an honest and accurate audit and RIF the waste vs. Hard working blue collar workers. Posting for a concerned coworker in Cardilab!!

cold clueless no coverage meetings with rif and poor people left to stay and fail with not one word to address what is happening. beyond cruel and pathetic.

For those getting RIF notices this calendar year, I.e. not those notified in Nov last year… how are your severance benefits? I got my update and it’s not the same compared to the Nov benefits. Especially the stock vesting… I didn’t get my stock to continue to vest as per original plans. It’s prorated and that means I lose out on the next two years worth of stock vesting. Discrimination at its best. Please share if you have any updates.

Heard there was a large chunk of users primarily former allina people gutted. Anyone know if it went beyond them?

Was planning on working 2 or 3 more years to add a little extra financial cushion to my retirement but decided it's not worth it. They've sc--wed us over in every way imaginable over the years and I'm convinced it won't get any better. I'm soooo looking forward to giving my notice as soon as RRP hits my bank acct Friday. Hopefully me leaving will save someone from being RIFd that needs their job more then I do. Good luck everyone.

Heard huge layoffs in various fraud departments are coming 3/3. Apparently they're using a new location strategy as an excuse.

Yep. RIF today. Not sure how many, but it affected the Health/Pharm area.

Did anyone hear of layoffs in Optum for tomorrow 2/26? Just had a 15 min meeting invite added to my calendar for tomorrow morning.

Anyone have any insight to the fate of those that started at landmark, then HBMC and now Optum at Home (OAH)? SO much has been cut, not much left..has the feeling that everyone will be RIFd by EOY..any intel??

20,000 is really massive number to RIF

If 1K were riffed in January
and we don’t know how many were laid off in February (say 2000?).

Still have around 17K to be riffed beginning March 4. How is this number gonna be spread? 2K a month until December? Anxiety-inducing and demoralizing for employees!

Any guess/speculation?

Has anyone else been hearing about the upcoming RIFs in Parametric Test?

1. If you haven't submitted claims against all the flex dollars, deducted from your paycheck, by your termination date, are the unused deducted dollars refunded to you? (Conversely, if you were reimbursed for more than was yet deducted from your paycheck, do you have to pay it back?)

2. When you're reimbursed for unused accrued vacation days in your final paycheck, does that include unused carryover days? If you were RIF'd in 1Q, it's quite possible you didn't use all carryover days yet. If you were RIF'd in NY in 1Q, your termination date is in 2Q. Workday drops carryover days after March 31. Your Workday balance as of the 2Q termination date does not reflect unused carryover days. If HR uses Workday to determine unused accrued vacation days as of termination date (or, if you meet rule of 60, as of December 31), then HR won't see the carryover balance.

For those impacted by this round of RIFs- what was your severance package offer? And when does your insurance benefits end?

This Thursday is the end of a pay cycle that will get folks off the books before the end of the quarter. What do you think? End of month RIF or April fools?

Some posts are referencing a RIF. Who knows what? I know there’s the rocket selloff and missile solutions ipo. There’s been rifs around yearly reviews last three years so could fit the trend but put what you know below

It appears RIFs started in HC today, 2/19. I do not believe anyone was affected or at least reported anything during January. Likely just the beginning of markets’ adjustment. Please share any info as it unfolds.

I don’t know specifics, but Optum Learn experienced a RIF today.

I developed the skill to solve everything and anything - attended and prioritized the needs of my VPs and directors - even the ones who should have never been made directors at all - and what I got for that? A “ RIF “ ( you no longer needed) - make YOURself first - dont let

Got RIF'd, 60 day garden leave, standard 2 weeks for every year, blah blah blah. I have (former lol) coworkers calling me asking me where I am, asking if I can help with X or Y when I'm "back from vacation." Seems like management isn't telling their teams anything about the sudden voids in the roster.

If someone is RFI'd, does anything chane immediately in the global directory?

Seems for operations, they have to wait for the on site audits to complete and March membership numbers/projections since the end of the subsidies. They can’t show to regulators they are riffing people when we don’t meet TAT
