Question for those of you who were RIF'd and already rec'd your final paycheck

By 'final paycheck', I mean the check that comes a few weeks after your termination date and includes reimbursement for accrued unused vacation time (or, in the case of over 65s, all unused vacation days til the end of the year). Were any medical or 401k deductions taken out of the vacation pay?

Payout

Just wondering: I remember an old coworker asking and I don't recall the answer. Do we get our 5 weeks vacation in the 2nd year of our 104 weeks termination pay? I cannot find the answer in our Leg T CWA contract. Also, I wonder if I can call in sick in the 103rd week of payout and then go on paid disability for 6 months. Would I need to file FMLA? Am I entitled to any more entitlements?

Should I use up my vacation days before leaving Ford?

For those who left Ford voluntarily, how was the vacation days processed when you leave? If you have earned vacation days that were not used, did you get paid for those days in your last paycheck? If I use up all my vacation days will those days be deducted from my last paycheck? Did you have a meeting with HR such as exit interview right before you leave?

New RTO and vacation

Is there anyone from HR who thought through this policy and impact on vacation.
Band 5 - you take Thursday/ Friday off - that week counts against you
Band 3. -4/1 posture - you basically are never taking vacation that is less than a full week. Let’s say you have 2 days sick and then 2 days vacation in the same reporting period, you can not miss another single day - vacation or not.
I know they want us to quit, but layoffs would be more humane and effective instead of making everyone miserable.

Vacation and Severance

To those that have already been removed from payroll, how long did it take to receive your vacation and severance payments after your last day of work? My last day was 2/20. I see the new paystub generated for this week, but it's only for five days of work. I signed the severance agreement the first possible day it was available (15 days prior to off payroll date). Just curious what the timeline looks like. Thanks!

How long after resignation will I receive the unused vacation payout?

I resigned earlier this year. Since then, two full pay cycles have elapsed but I still haven't received my unused vacation payout. Is this normal? Emailed payroll twice already and got no response. Please share your experience if you have any. Thanks.

Kiss your vacation time goodbye

My dept lost 20% of team during cuts.
For everyone left, they took our time.

Overtime is assumed. Vacation is “available” as long as no one else is off — so it isn’t. Flexibility vanished. Trust went with it.

Now it’s all about how many extra hours you can cram in a week. Coverage charts. Being watched instead of being valued. Results don’t matter nearly as much as looking busy.

We’re not managed. We’re monitored.

High performers didn’t suddenly need babysitting. But treat people like clock-punching liabilities long enough and don’t act shocked when they stop caring — or stop showing up.

Headcount was the first cut.
Time is the second.
Talent is next.

Vacation out or take the year’s vacation ?

Is it better to vacation out or try to take the year’s worth of vacation before you leave?
I’m looking at the vacation policy and it says you can’t use vacation from previous year to vacation out. Anyone know how it works? Don’t want to ask HR because I’m not telling them I’m retiring yet
