Just received input from a source that layoffs will be taking place.

I am not hearing anything from my management but we know LBT is holding HR’s feet to the fire to layoff and outsource most of HR. We know it is coming soon, however it has been crickets? Any insight out there.

Just heard through the grapevine, Friday retail will be hit! Can anyone confirm? May God Bless anyone and everyone affected!

Perhaps addressing the rumors by confirming or discounting them would allay fears.

So what is your guess, is this gonna happen and how big it will be?

I feel like everything is very specific but then others are saying every department is 20% -kind of hoping to get cut tbh.

I've whipped myself into a frenzy anticipating layoffs next week. You'd think that by now we'd all be numb to this and learn to deal with it better. But every time the threat looms, which has become an increasingly frequent occurrence, I seem to have a harder time with it. This past week, I barely managed to focus on anything, or switch off for a moment once I'm back home. How do you cope?

I think the typical departments will get hit hard again - ISG, CSG, Sales, Engineering, and IT... but I also think Dell is going to start going after full remote employees.

Dell no longer allows remote positions (future positions that is) and all new roles/REQs MUST go to the office, meaning they want all employees to be local to an office, right? Well that won't/can't happen until all remote employees are either laid off or quit.. OR relocate on their own dime. They are going to have to start going after remotes sooner or later and I feel like it's gonna be sooner than later; after the RTO mandate. OR, they will tell remotes that they can either relocate and keep their job, or have bonus's/raises minimized + the already not eligble for promotions/internal movement.

I think a LOT of the engineers, PMs, Managers/directors who were very heavily involved in mav will be let go as well, considering the OG deadline was pushed back a quarter...

Now that things have settled down, we are fully focused on cutting costs. That’s all the LT cares about. With all the cost cutting there have got to be layoffs. The question is when? 2026? 2027? How long does it take for layoffs to come to us? Where are all the employees going with all the work being cut? Trying to see if I can last long enough to get laid off. Wishing I took the EOI but had no idea what we were in for.

Where do we believe or know where majority of the layoffs are going to be? Do you think it’s all transformation or more than that?

Strong rumors about massive reorganization in SBG. Several executives were axed. Consolidation of several BUs. More products will be integrated under Splunk.

He didn't say anything of substance in the AMA. If they were to occur would they be in IT or other places?

Was just told at 3pm today 1/15 access is getting cut off for 10,000 people at T-Mobile who are all part of a mass layoff. Not sure how accurate 10,000 is but I know for a fact my ex-wife is part of this.

I saw something here about 1/20 being the day for consumer. In the same thread that someone said 1/15 for TFB.

Trump announced today a plan to reduce healthcare costs (great!). He seemed to take aim at taking money out of the hands of insurance companies. Do you think this will mean more layoff at UHG/Optum?

Does anyone have word if the retail positions will be affected? Will they be doing layoffs for the store level of retail?

Heard internally 14th was layoffs - 15th comp day. What is everyone hearing?

US corporate employees received messaging to work remotely on Thursday January 15th 2026. Reasoning was to facilitate multiple meetings regarding department changes. Very similar tone to last year's email. Staff is worried.

I don't understand why leadership has to be so secretive about something that profoundly impacts our lives. We've all been stressed out for a while, speculating about what's coming and when. It's paralyzing.
