Get the word out, sick out day on 4/20

We are human beings, we life and unique situations, not lowly caste workers that are treated like slaves.

4/20 is sick out day because we are tired of being treated like slaves from her caste system.

Making rule changes after we followed her rule, slap in our face. There is no rule because she is always changing the rule

Sick out 4/20
!

RTO: Make it make sense

They keep selling us on collaboration and team work. Here’s the reality for many of us:

  1. Our teams are spread out over many locations. Some of us are now forced to work alone in a small 4x4 cube surrounded by people we dont know or work with at all.

  2. Being forced to sit in a small cube constantly distracted by loud employees from other orgs is not collaboration. It's distractive and annoying

  3. I waste 15 hours every week driving to a building where the quality of my work is suffering

  4. More sick days. I'm constantly surrounded by sick people. I never used my sick time WFH. Now I will use them to their full availability

  5. I used to work more than 40 hours WFH because it was convenient and I felt obligated due to being allowed to WFH. That ended with RTO. I'm not going the extra mile any more for a company that treats me like a child and babysitting service, while lying to me about collaboration and RTO

  6. I have spoken to so many employees who already have one foot out the door. As soon as the economy switches back to a more friendly employee environment, schwab is going to lose a lot of talent

Nobody likes working for this company anymore. I dont know of a single employee who happy at schwab now. Walt and now Rick have turned this place into a soulless, stale company that only cares about the stock price where the executives get fat stock options and bonuses.

don't get sick

Public sector employees were told on Monday "don't get sick, don't take care giver days, don't take bereavement days, especially don't need surgery that will require an extended absense. Basically just work anyway.". Apparently they need to maximize charging to every contract and any illness by yourself, your family, or even death in the family minimizes the ability to charge a contract. And if you are so sick that you can't come in, were told to work weekends to make up the time. People were given a target of number of hours to charge in the year and it was basically calculated to be the total work hours in a year subtracted by your allotted vacation hours.

Also were told that if you do actually take too many sick days or caregiver days, your manager will be notified because they'll assume you really could have worked anyway.

That's on top of the other things the rest of the company is doing to make time spent in the office horrible (no assigned desks, etc). Apparently HR has no problem with this policy or was too weak to contest it being presented.

Here is a great idea to anyone getting a meeting invite !!

Everyone in the company should do a sick call out!! Legally the company cannot make you attend a meeting or perform work( which is what a layoff meeting is) if you are out sick. It doesn’t change the end result— just messes their plans up, and gives you a sense of control in this.

I predict sick time will go up

For people who track this stuff i predict sick time will double or triple. If I have a sick kid I have to pick up and leave the office I’ll just use four hours of sick time. And when I log off I will be done for the day. I’m not going to sit in an office for 5 hours and not have it count as a day back. And if I’m not feeling great instead of working from home I’ll use sick time. I bet lots of people will do the same.

You will NOT be paid for sick days after a firing or layoff

When you are fired or layedoff , TCS will ONLY pay out the vacation days and only because it is required by law in states. Many states have varying laws covering sick days payout, but for the most part you will NOT be payed sick days accumulated.
So, given holidays are near, put in for sick days by saying it is for routine physicals, or planned outpatient procedures and take all your sick days.
You will NOT be payed out any outstanding sick days and are giving TCS a financial gift when they are not payed out.
You have been told, god bless all those that will be affected this massive layoff due to the Trump H1-B $100K per APPLICATION fee..

August 26th (no work day, sick out)

They have already made these decisions. It doesn’t matter what we do but we can show them how powerful they are if we just don’t show up to Work on the 26th. No call, no text. Just let them know it was a family emergency the next day. Who’s in to show our solidarity with our coworkers? We are the real Edward Jones!
