I overheard a conversation another layoff coming this July or August along the hallway. Is it true? I remember we had one last year around July/August/Sept. We spent more time worried about layoff and do the real work. I will planning to apply for Everpure or others. NetApp was great 15 years ago and now...... i just have to pretend to work. Tell me about my director talked about motivation and 10 billions. Good luck.

Have to pay for all of the AI NetApp has in some form or fashion.. this is probably going to be the new normal.. At the all hands they had this video of them automating down time response to customers via AI, so it wouldn't surprise me if layoffs would be in that department. Thank you for the good work you did in making yourselves obsolete, here is your last paycheck
@as Sorry i don't. just overheard the conversation 4th floor HQ. Exec said we have to "prep for another round July/August to make up earning". And i also aware that last year and 2 years ago. Likely not huge 8% but could be the 2-3%. It just makes everyone nervous and nobody want to put the real work anymore......even my colleague mentioned to me in May, "i would do the real critical work......even they don't let me go.....just demoralized"

Good....make it a monthly thing for NetApp. Do i still need to do a Thrive survey? haha It could be biweekly ........now.
We basically have layoffs every month now. It's just the huge ones are in Spring/Fall. Work like you could be laid off at any time. Aka don't work too hard at all since you could be laid off regardless.
There is a layoff planned for this summer. July/August.
