Any layoffs for home and community?

@1ar Probably. I am a therapist and I am preparing myself for an RIF any day now. It is inevitable so there’s no point in worrying. Polish up your resume and just be ready.
I wonder if they do end up doing RIFs for SICCs due to the loss of the the Humana contract, will they automatically the RNs and RIF those coordinators who are therapists? The reason I ask is because it is obvious that many of the clinical roles require a nursing degree. Makes me very worried.
@12t I've looked all through the final rule 2027, I don't see anything that states that.
Anyone hear about a mandatory AI interqual generator that is supposed to replace continued stay reviews? Heard cms final rule 2027 all snf have to now use this?
They are training all the offshore/ global folks for the prior auth reviewer roles, so I imagine there will most definitely be layoffs once they are all trained.
@ft I'm thinking it'll be October as well.
@ev I'd think October
when do we think they will actually start notifying us? I think with other loss of contracts they gave 3 months notice to start finding other jobs internally?
@ce Enterprise Clinical Services
@bt What is ECS?
Even housecalls?
I've heard a few people express concern H&C won't be around after 2026. The changes this year are starting to feel like scrambling...
@bf I've heard rumors thst they'll move over to ECS, but it's been a while since I heard that.
I’m understanding that it is possible that the entire H&C will be sunset after 2026. I guess that might cause some RIF. Except to the AI and automation takeover!
NOT YET. But when you’re losing a big client/contract such as Humana, without a contract replacement as big as Humana, then simple math tells us that there would be less work for too many people.
What does that mean? A much needed reduction in force to save the company some money. It is inevitable.
Hope not, taking this wellmed humans wind down course as we speak :/
