Another Wave of Layoffs?

Heard that either the Commercial Processing or Commercial Service Center teams (possibly both) are going to be entirely outsourced by early 2025, and that some of Commercial Underwriting is being outsourced now too. Anyone have more info on this?

Call center staff going away?

Has anyone heard if call center staffs are going away? Mainly claims call centers? The Dublin Ohio building hasn’t been in service for a while and I keep hearing call center staffs are next on the block. Can anyone confirm?

You get outsourced! And you get outsourced! Everybody's getting outsourced! (Not so fast VPs - you're OK)

Kirt Walker and the OCEO is outsourcing everybody. By 2030 Nationwide Insurance will only consist of AVPs and up plus some vendor relations specialists. Everything else will be outsourced. It's genius, really, but also disingenuous when they break... — read more

60 day notices

Heard from a friend in Commercial Underwriting that they got their 60 day notices today...

Worst Company!

Nationwide is a joke! They do NOT care about their employees. All the executives want to do is line their pockets. People get promoted to positions because they are “Yes Man’s” and provide absolutely no value to the position that they are in. Once in... — read more

More layoffs coming

Read an article yesterday that NW is planning a big layoff starting next month impacting Pet, P&C, and Innovation. The company use to be a great place to work and often saw people there 20+ years. Now feel like a target.

Layoffs announced today across Corp Dev

Corp dev team layoffs announced. About 50 additional people impacted across pet, innovation and digital. I was spared in this round, don’t know for how long.

More Layoffs

Around 13 people in Training department for Commercial Lines let go a couple weeks ago. Has anyone heard of they were givin 60 day notice or of any severance packages. More cuts are coming I am sure.

NATIONWIDE LAYOFFS

These are happening. Typically 60 day notice given. Layoffs don't seem to make sense - experienced employees often with high performance ratings being let go. Seems those who were with Allied are protected regardless of their abilities.

Shedding Pet Insurance employees

NW Pet has been bleeding $$ funds. A lot of people were let go in Pet. They oust the chief pet officer! Heidi didn't decide to retire! Many in sales, customer service, IT, training & recruiting let go!

Nationwide cuts

Anyone hear any more info on possible Nationwide Layoffs? They are most likely finished looking at "Co-Sourcing", aka. off Shore hiring and then slashing the workforce. The company lost millions last year. Cuts are coming, you can feel it.

Can They Really Fire Us All at Once?

Why don’t we Unionize or something? The ongoing trends of layoffs are unacceptable. Great employees should not be treated this way. Now it feels like they are just dragging it out to drain us of everything they can until their new co sourcing... — read more

Personal Lines RIFs?

Is anyone getting weird vibes that PL adjuster layoffs are coming? They said this round would not affect us but I’m getting a creeping feeling that some people will be getting a 60 day notice in a few weeks.

Death Knell Rung

Whoever said there would be layoffs in P and C in two months, you were just about right. Email from Berven this morning said outsourcing is coming (he calls it co-sourcing!!) and 60 days more and we’ll know what/where/who. Move over Geico and... — read more

Lying about best places to work

Nationwide boasts its rankings as a top 5 place to work. Don't believe it. Continual layoffs and the company seems to be poor in their financial results. Only response to poor financial results is to layoff claims people and hire more VPs.

Mangers don’t back up their team

I would never recommend working here because you will get thrown under the bus by managers. Good luck with the new schedule changes. Either work the schedule or you’re fired.

"Restructuring" in Commercial Lines?

IA here. We lost our NW CL marketing rep weeks ago, no replacement, underwriting is not responding with NB inquiries. NW PL is a mess with all of the rate increases and personnel changes. They've pretty much closed down for new PL. What's happening... — read more
