What kind of severance is being offered?

I think a good severance could mean a world of difference to those who were affected, so I truly hope the packages are decent and have not been reduced in the past two years as a result of the pandemic. Does anybody know exactly what was offered? How... — read more

I hope there won't be more

It is interesting how they constantly emphasize that these are small layoffs. Perhaps for USAA these are small layoffs, but for me almost 100 people losing their jobs is a lot. I just hope that all of them will manage to find something better soon... — read more

Does Severance Pay Out if I Find Another Job

USAA told me they're giving me 60 days to find a new job and that if I don't find a job at USAA they'll pay out my severance. What if get a job at another company before the 60 days? Do I still get USAA severance payout?

The biggest reason to leave?

I'm debating leaving or staying a little longer. It is not an easy decision. Still, there are fewer and fewer reasons for me to stay here, and more and more to leave.

New CIO

How did we come up with our new CIO, I would have preferred the interim CIO. It seems like it's a wrong choice. Too early to tell, but I can feel it. She seems like she would accelerate attrition.

Shuffling people around doesn’t fix the problem

Another reorg? To accomplish what, exactly? Please don’t call this an Op Model change. Moving weak and toxic execs around instead of moving them out is avoidance HR. Massive budget cuts coming and I’m being told I can’t backfill open positions of... — read more

I wouldn't mind being laid off

There's talk about more layoffs at the start of next year and for the first time I'm not stressing over it or worrying 24/7 if my name will be on the list. It's not that I hate working here, but USAA has changed enough that I'm no longer as satisfied... — read more
