Multiple Interview

What is the interview culture at LM? Is it typical to have excessive (5+) interviews for a leadership role?

More layoffs today

Another round of layoffs today as the never ending reorganization that is Liberty Mutual lumbers forward. We are all potential targets in this multi-year transformation. Losing, without purpose, alone.

Fiato leaving for Allstate?

Shapiro went to Allstate and ascended to President before falling out of favor as loss ratios spiked. He may have been the golden boy to replace their Chairman/CEO but that's not happening as he "retired" in September 2023. Does Fiato have that... — read more

Have the layoffs started?

Post here when the layoffs start. Liberty is notorious for keeping their layoffs quiet to avoid bad publicity. We should know the departments and job levels being impacted.

Are layoffs coming on Monday, 10/16?

Does anyone think something bad is happening on Monday before the global town hall on Tuesday? Any rumors of big layoffs? Not feeling good about what might be around the corner.

Working abroad for a few weeks

I know they CAN see where everyone is pinging in from - but are they actively checking if I were to work abroad for a couple weeks?

Change?

Anyone have a more detailed view on the move?

Recommend working here?

Recently received a job offer for Claim Team Manager. Does anyone recommend working at Liberty over State Farm. Would be a 30% pay raise, but don’t want to jump from one bad situation into an even worse situation.

Office closing

It seems like all of the Tigard field legal work is being slowly transferred to the Carmel office.

Is there a safe alternative?

One of the things I used to enjoy about this place is job security. Sadly, I don't think we have it anymore and I don't think anybody is safe from future RIFs. But I'm not sure where to look for another job? Everybody seems to be laying off. Might be... — read more

DRC Sales floor morale is at an all time low

Sales goal was once 42 and this month its 123 meaning you will struggle all month just to barely make a check. Goals are ridiculous leading to mass burn out of sales staff in the DRCs. Nothing is ever good enough here

Old-school thinking is keeping us behind

Not being able to truly commit to change is what's keeping Liberty Mutual behind and what's causing an increasing number of layoffs. If we actually implemented in practice what we preach in theory, we'd come out on top. But nope. For example, why do... — read more
