Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Back to our bad habits and why there’s value here

I’ve read a lot of posts either saying “disconnect” from these sites or challenging motives or knowledge. If you’ve been on this side or Reddit: the accuracy is pretty on point.

And genuinely, if this is causing you mental health issues, take a break & talk to someone.

That being said, there’s been a massive volume of views and posts on these sites and it’s not just because of RTO. It’s a shift back to a gross culture that used to exist that we barely started to be rid of.

Were back to the age of a lack of transparency and back to the days of good ole boys club that we are seeing where some are “in the know” that’s actually causing mental health.

For one, I appreciate people tearing down our silos and helping people connect dots. Please, keep posting.

Hey, it’s only how we feed and shelter our families. No stress at all. If the good ole boys club was conspiring to make amazing benefits and roll out this common sense flexible work place environment: there would be no posts. We all see this for what it is. Money. Their bonuses. Profit.

All that being said. Disconnect from here regularly. We can only control so much. Demonstrate & communicate you and your teams value clearly and consistently.

Yup! We’re going back to where people will be coming to work sick due to fear of losing their job or being out on corrective action for not adhering to the RTO mandate. A girl on my team has covid and is coming into work due to not wanting to be on the “bad list” for not being in her 3 days. If there’s any bright spot, at least she’s wearing double mask.

If you saw that post saying to "unplug" on reddit, that was me. The level of negativity isn't good for anyone, whether the rumors are true or not. I'm stressed about it too, but there's nothing that dwelling on the posts here is going to do to fix it. We'll get through it.
