Thread regarding USAA layoffs

Forced RTO is coming, go get your lube

Our department has now gotten the script for RTO, the earlier posts were dead on. It appears upper management is truly tone deaf and really doesn't care about opinions. You can be as candid as you want to be, as long as you stay in a very narrow lane. They use the word collaboration a lot, and are very much saying that didn't exist during the pandemic, so we need to go back in. I'm betting they will install turnstiles in the restrooms so no one plays Pokémon too long. It's pretty hard to trust the upper management now. Congrats USAA, you got us back. But don't expect the 2019 vibe. Forcing "fun" and "collaboration" is showing how weak and feckless the CEO and his minions are. I'm expecting somewhat of an exodus, and the ones that remain will become seat warmers.

A friend of mine who is a director in the bank said she was told to help manage people out that don’t start adhering RTO because it will help lower headcount without having to spend severance money. She asked what happened to us doing the right thing because it’s the right thing to do! These new execs looks at her like they didn’t know what she was talking about. She started applying outside the company that afternoon.

Brown pudding in our shoes, make it look like we shooted diarrhea down our legs? Make us think we’re MIGHTY SICK?

They seem to think they’re going to drive productivity by forced RTO. Instead they’re going to wind up with a bunch of mentally checked out employees who are just there for a paycheck. The feeling is mutual, take care of your employees, they work hard for you. Don’t and? This boomer way of CEO thinking is destroying what has now become USAA-Fargo!
