Thread regarding USAA layoffs

4 days starting Jan 2024

In our team meeting yesterday, our director said the company is going “all in” to enforce the 3 days RTO for the rest of the year and will shift to 4 days in office effective Jan 1 2024. Basically stated Wayne isn’t f’n around anymore and wants the buildings at capacity. Looks like we’re going back to our old ways, people coming into work sick, fearful of losing their job, just like it was pre covid. Good job Wayne!

This is nothing but a smoke screen and scare tactic. It’s solely about power and control. Wayne is an absolute id--t if he thinks people are going to come in 4 days a week. Get a grip and a reality check dude! People aren’t coming in 3 days a week and you “mandating” 4 is only going to disgust people more than you already have and in the end, NOBODY CARES; just like you don’t care about us. You will lose people, but you will lose the wrong people and keep dead weight. And expecting the office to be occupied at full capacity? GET REAL. That’s never going to happen and even if it did, the office is a nightmare. Half functional equipment, filthy desks, no assigned seats. Even if you get your wish, which you won’t, the office isn’t prepared for the influx and Wayne and his inept EC are just going to let it unfold and act like it’s out of sight, out of mind. Your scare tactics didn’t work the first go round and people can see right through your bullsh-t this time. You act like employees are id--ts but we are much smarter than you and the id--ts who directly report to you. The only person you’re fooling is yourself!

everyone should start filling out those pulse surveys and giving low scores. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for this sinking ship.

Wayne and all directors need to give up their cushy offices and sit amongst the plebians, see how they like hotel seating.
