Anyone hear anything about CL updates for location strategy? Myself and a few coworkers are still remote and nothing has been communicated yet?

it was rumored to be happening, so did it?
Any new updates?
Does anyone know anything new?
Any Sr. Leaders Want to Chime In?
I know some Senior Leaders have been meeting this week to get updates. I'm not sure how many details they shared with you, but would you be willing to share some general thoughts here?
Layoffs
did layoffs happen in Oct?! In September I had so many people I knew get laid off but last week when I thought we were going to have layoffs, I heard nothing!
When you show up to the miserable employee competition and your opponent is a T employee
If you think we are a telecom company, think again.
BlackRock owns ~75% of T, VZ, and TMUS.
How is it possible Stankey is still CEO after the historic TMUS, DTV, and TWD blunders?
Because Stankey doesn’t work for T, he works for BlackRock (“the board”).
When Stankey fu---d the TMUS acquisition, T was looking to acquire them for ~40B.
Today, they are worth ~260B, you read that right.
From 2011 to 2025, TMUS shares gained 650% while T gained 20% in the same period.
Do you think still think Stankey works for T?
2025, AI is the hot thing. We are still not a telecom company, but an employment company.
T is MSFT’s bi--h, and what does MSFT want more than anything? T to embrace their massive OpenAI investment as MSFT’s customer.
As we know T execs don’t innovate if it was the last thing they do, so why would we do this?
The execs know that we have too many employees, and that they can backfill any “AI cost savings” by simply firing employees at any time because they know we have too many.
We’re not a telecom company, we’re a firing company.
We are a legacy asset like much of the F100 that only can be more profitable via layoffs, growth at T is dead and Stankey ki-led it
10/21 seeing Linked In posts about layoffs
Coworkers open to work, saying they are let go. Was there another round of layoffs?
Any updates?
All still quiet where I’m at.
Any updates today?

Looks like the rumors were true, bunch of people in CZ NetSuite are getting a Business update meeting on Monday. Though the number of affected people seems to be relatively low.

Update(s) - Trump China Import tariffs, the U.S. Government shutdown; and the U.S. National debt.
China -
This is a (really bad) combination for the U.S. economic-financial system (and ultimately, the stock market) if (current) trends continue.
Trump "Retaliatory" Import tariffs, the U.S. government shutdown (continues) and the U.S. National debt (continues) its' (exponential) rise.
Is the 2nd largest economy in the world.
Does (not) need any U.S. products what-so-ever (at all, including soybeans).
China has formed numerous Trade alliances with other countries (and continues, to do so) the E.U., India, South Korea, Russia, Brazil, Argentina; and the list goes on.
The U.S.-China Trade war continues to escalate, right now; it appears.
Trump (most likely) will raise the (current) China Import tariffs (by another 100% on November 1st).
The (current) China Import tariff of 30% is the rate until November 10th (as of August 25th).
Trump (most likely) will not meet Xi Jinping in November (previously planned) due to escalating Trade war tensions.
Also, on a side note.
The U.S. government shutdown appears to be headed to the (longest in U.S. history).
The U.S. economic-financial system (thus far) has (not) taken into account the (full) effect of Trump tariffs, and the (exponentially) rising U.S. National debt (currently) at $37.8 Trillion per (usdebtclock) with the price of Gold, and Silver; reflecting the (continued) devaluation of the U.S. dollar (Inflation).

Any updates on re-opening hiring for contractors?
Anyone knows if they will allow hiring of contractors again. I know some groups never stopped hiring but some are still on hold.

Contractors future Role
Any updates on contractors working for Edward Jones such as CGI, Accenture and Deloitte ? It already seemed like they wanted to fill as many positions with them as possible instead of full time EJ employees, but with the future offshoring seemingly coming down the pike, is there any contracts that anyone has heard of changing or getting canceled.
Gird your loins St. Louis, Luling, Muscatine, Soda Springs, and Kansas City
According to an article published in the 10/9 St. Louis Post Dispatch, the Missouri Supreme Court has declined to reconsider a $611M RoundUp verdict against the company. The article goes on to say that AG CEO Bill Anderson told the Wall Street Journal may stop sales of RoundUp all together.
Any updates to P&T disbanding plan?
Has anyone heard anything new since RM’s most recent email announcement? Someone posted the decision timeline (the staff council summary) in the comments section for that announcement. I thought it said something like EVP communications were supposed to come out end of September/beginning October. Haven’t seen one from our EVP but maybe others? I realize I’m being anxious, tough not to be…
What’s next?
So what’s next? All that news, all the upper echelon are being moved around. The ripple effect has just begun… anyone know anything else that will be announced this coming week? I still think those emails Friday were just the beginning.
Update soon?
Uniform ordering was delayed, maybe because we will know our fate soon? AT&T, Network CO, Lumen or layoff?
October layoffs running total
Oct01 4am UTC - Oct02 4am UTC totals: 241 layoffs, 44 additions.
Methodology and day-by-day breakdown is in comments.
Few next days will be added in comments as they pass, to avoid starting new threads.
September layoffs total
Sep30 1pm UTC - Oct 4am UTC totals: 468 layoffs.
September totals (except Sep01): 6275 layoffs, and 861 additions.
Methodology and day-by-day breakdown is in comments.
This is a floor estimate, as many non-NA regions have layoffs with people still present in Slack and their access is fully cut with large delay.

Anyone got the scoop on what they’re going to say about San Ramon?
Does anyone know the status of DFAB shifts?
Some news about C shift was concerning, nothing of substance about A or B shift yet. Anyone have other updates?
Any updates on HCSC layoffs today ? (09/25)
“Hi everyone,
I heard there may have been some layoffs today (09/25) at HCSC/BCBS. Can anyone confirm if staff reductions actually happened and, if so, which departments or levels were affected? Just trying to get clarity and hear from those who may have direct knowledge. Thanks.”
September layoffs running total
Sep24 6am UTC - Sep25 6am UTC totals: 80 layoffs, 9 additions.
September totals (except Sep01): 5635 layoffs, and 825 additions.
Methodology and day-by-day breakdown is in comments.
I know a dev team in Pacific, which had the last day yesterday, but they are still in Slack and it is unclear why O stopped cutting access to some people. Maybe it was too easy to track layoffs. Therefore, these totals are the floor estimate.
September layoffs running total
Sep22 6am UTC - Sep23 7am UTC totals: 392 layoffs, 128 additions.
September totals (except Sep01): 5497 layoffs, and 810 additions.
Methodology and day-by-day breakdown is in comments.
