The first sentence is 100% accurate. The second sentence is inaccurate: The 'architects' didn't make the stuff work. They bumbled along making things worse. They are the ones who did all the bad things, moved on saying "I don't work on that anymore", and never touched their ba--s of mud again. Then they left. If they can only do to their new employers what they did to vmware, then those companies too will have problems.
