I've heard both rumors and want to know if any of you have heard either month cited directly from a manager

Saw that RIO plans to sell the mine. Any idea who the buyers will be? Any layoffs?

I hate hearing more rumors about layoffs. Does anybody know where this came from? Any chance it's true or am I just getting stressed over nothing?

Noticed some stores are not staying open as late this holiday season. Is that a sign they are on the chopping list? Seems to be quite a bit of overlap between that and the earlier closing stores, at least in the DMV.

Hey everyone, was just wondering what happened here. Before i was able to check this and get all the latest rumors. Lately, there are weeks with almost no topics and no new comments. Just heard a lot of big news this week and i am checking every day to see if someone will post something but nothing. Regarding the news, have confirm a lot of people were let go this week and there were talks i. nCR Voyix about having a 5 days office as mandatory from 2026, so that decision should have more people just quiting. Not sure at all where we are heading, both Voyix and Atleos.

Any leaders who can confirm a rumor? I heard that there is a requirement that at a certain level (team, department, or other) where a % of associates must be given a 1 rating. No other info and hoping it’s just a rumor. Looking for someone with more info.

Cause they will never ever have layoffs.

Heard some rumors that another round of "restructuring" is happening before the end of the year for the KC teams

Apparently our wonderfully absent tech leader feels that "AI will make our delivery teams obsolete"

We keep hearing that more cuts are coming, and the rumor mill is nonstop at this point. If anyone has anything even remotely reliable to share, please do. It’d help a lot of us figure out what to expect instead of stressing over every random whisper.

Rumor is that some of the folks in the stores that are being converted will call in sick on Black Friday. Anyone one hear about this?

I’m hearing December 1st, 8th, 15th, layoffs have already started, re-org is coming, 1NA is coming, sending jobs to Russia, sending jobs to Mexico, 3000 layoffs, he-l somebody even said 20%+ which would mean 60k+ employees and would be the biggest layoff in American history for a single company.

Does anybody have any solid information on real December layoffs or restructuring and what groups are impacted. Frontline? Managers? Division, HQ? Etc.

Is Shankar out? Will there be a reorg in VGS?

So on a local level in field can only go by what we see and know.What we saw was low level low pay first line bosses getting riffed .While not very useful they might actually have some use!Yet we saw no upper management like 2nd or 3rd liners who actually do nothing but make misery along with Tons of money!!So what we see is this is all a joke .Dan just needed a bit more cash flow from the bottom of the pile.This just means our next contract is gonna be really fun with Dan since he really loves to Rob the lower paid working groups .While moving in all his over paid paypal buddies!!!

I heard this rumor many months ago, and it recently came up again.. SOVA is going to become lead for VBG wireline sales in 2026. Has anyone else heard anything similar?

I heard that there's going to be a big layoff coming either just before Thanksgiving break or December break. Specifically in HiL labs, as there was not much output last year.

Heard there have to be 4s on the team. This might be the new strategy to get rid of some serious headcount without any severances. Track your work and have enough evidence to contest the 4s. If they want you out they want you out.

There was a rumor about the 12/18 date for more Wellmed/Optum layoffs, but someone just received an in person meeting for 12/4 and they're concerned so I wanted to see if anyone had heard about anything happening then?

VTeamers do not get too comfortable if your job is saved this time around… round 2 is coming sooner than you can think of, End of March to early April i am hearing from a realiable source details are being ironed out. The frontier merger should be finalized before Feb 16th and at that point frontier has 20k employees and they are all not cutting cut, i heard verizon can only cut a maximum 50% of their employees to avoid legal ramifications, that means we will have an additional 10k employee cut again in late spring! If you Don’t believe me ask your direct manager if there is a second round coming soon that was something discussed with them once they had already gave the notice to employees who would be impacted, they had a second meeting with their leaders to debrief. You can also go back and check their calenders yesterday you can clearly see their calenders match at a certain point….

Anyone else hearing from leadership that another 5K round is planned in March post the reorganization across new leaders. Supposedly, this new transformation leadership is being asked to find efficiencies through downsizing targets.

First and foremost- to all our brothers and sisters in arms who were in the trenches with us that found out they don’t work at Verizon anymore yesterday, I’m sorry. A lot of good people were cut. The timing couldn’t be worse

But for all of us left- winter is coming.
That was the first phase of a long term plan to lean down. They cut the bare minimum to still have performance for the holiday rush. Once the New Years comes and goes there are confirmed more planned cuts for Q1 and Q2. and rumor is the packages won’t be as nice as the ones our fellow fallen soldiers got yesterday.

So Dan laid off 13,000 people yesterday, 2,000 short of the 15K total we've all been hearing about for the last few weeks.

I'm hearing rumors from several sources that they plan to sell off Vz International (to BT) in April next year. Will the remaining 2,000 heads be from there do we think?
