Or, Nike just adds the Chuck to their product offering and closes Converse...
some articles out on the public interwebs stating a buyer.....nke stock may never get out of the 40s
Need for it to recover before you can sell it.
Nike buying Converse was like GM buying Lamborghini saying that they will manage the company better with their deep pockets and power but ended up letting it get stuck in their bureaucracy and their indifference and ineptitude, permanently burying 6 feet under.
It would be a fire sale
I’ve been saying they should do this for quite some time. Converse is a strategic and financial drag. I can’t figure what would hold them back from pursuing this other than nostalgia. They were once our arch rivals, so when we rescued them from bankruptcy in 2003 it must have felt exhilarating. Now it’s nothing more than a distraction.
