Regional Construction Layoffs?

Anyone here if Regional Construction are going to be laying off specialists? Just heard today that starting in September, CMO will be doing all Admin tasks (Construction Activation, As-Built, FIR, Etc.) on all Residential jobs (SDU/MDU) and Specialist will be doing all admin tasks for Commercial jobs. Concerning as we have many people that are 100% Resi and now if they do 0 admin work what are they going to be doing or needed for?

Another Layoff July or August ?

I overheard a conversation another layoff coming this July or August along the hallway. Is it true? I remember we had one last year around July/August/Sept. We spent more time worried about layoff and do the real work. I will planning to apply for Everpure or others. NetApp was great 15 years ago and now...... i just have to pretend to work. Tell me about my director talked about motivation and 10 billions. Good luck.

At what point this week can we be at peace?

This uncertainty is ki-ling me. Folks on this thread have talked about 13% of the workforce being RIF'd, multiple teams expected to be impacted and most of it being initiated today. Yet, not many have said a word about receiving that uncomfortable meeting invite. Just 1-2 people have confirmed getting it.

At what stage in this week can we breathe a sigh or relief? When will we know if we survived this round or not? Or were people simply trolling or exaggerating the numbers?

The uncertainty and anxious waiting period is worse than just knowing you're impacted!!

Will this ever stop??

I know several people who were riffed in June, and there are still rumors of larger global RIFs coming in July and August.

For those who make it through these rounds, whats the outlook for the rest of 2026? Do these cycles eventually come to an end, or is this just the new normal?

At this point, I’d rather be included in a RIF now while severance packages are still relatively generous.

So tired of this, let me work or let me go

Any idea about redundancies/layoffs at London?

I joined Citibank London very recently. Just last week my director announced that they’re leaving the team as part of a new org structure and our team will be reporting to a new director.
I’m worried if this could be a prelude to layoffs. Does anyone know of any news in London?

I’ve volunteered to be let go and they just keep passing me by.

A theory I have is this….if you want to go, you are more likely to NOT be chosen. If you are it sends the wrong message. “Look at that guy leave, he’s so happy. People will start to question as to why should they stay here like this guy.”

If you want or need to stay..the more desperate you are, you are more apt to be chosen. It sends a different message. “This could happen to you. Look how miserable he is to be let go, better buckle down and give give give more and more to the company. Really put in those hours, don’t be like Bob.”
