CEC impacted?
I work in a CEC and I just got an email for a meeting with my director tomorrow. A big group of us got that email to be exact, should I worry this is a layoff convo??!
Microsoft needs to fire the whole department that created CoPilot. This is absolute garbage software
The fact you cannot remove this garbage from your computer is grounds for Microsoft's CoPilot Team to be fired without receiving any unemployment benefits.
Anybody have the actual numbers left to layoff?
I remember when this first started ppl had very specific number counts. I guess we are at 9,000 left to lay off for 2026. Can anyone give an insight as to how many of those 9,000 left will come out of divestures and how many will come out of actual reduction of employees and how that number is different from normal years low performers reduction?
Any insight to the date of the Feb layoffs?
Just wondering if anyone has any intel on exactly when the upcoming layoffs will occur?
Do they kick you out right away if you are going to a competitor?
In the title but just wondering if they kick you out right away if going to a competitor (even if you give a 2 week notice). Want to see if they would pay you out for those weeks regardless.
Honeywelll Raleigh NC RIFF
10-15 Employees last day Jan 23 2026. Blaming on poor 4th Qtr and scarce Q1 2026. Extreme pressures Q3 to pull in orders from 2026 and complete as much as possible at all cost for 2025. Worked hard to make that happen, long days and weekends. The reward was Riff. Thanks for NOTHING. Some very vital employees are being impacted. Some that hold the keys to the kingdom. Perhaps something greater happening to spin or absorb.
Massive layoff Feb 2, 2026
The date for the first quarter layoffs is set to the first Monday in February. It’s going to be a bloodbath.
Good luck everyone
Massive layoff in Europe
Around 15% of the entire labour force is being made redundant. Those who joined two to four years ago are particularly affected, with no replacements being offered, and every department is impacted. The good news is that they are being slightly more generous in negotiations over the redundancy package.
Jan 26, 27
Stay tuned!
Feb 12th Layoff
Anyone know which departments? Is this all locations?
Devices Division Layoffs
Massive layoff on the third week of January 2026
smra sr manager position eliminated
first start of consumer we are hearing; the smra sr manager role has been eliminated. sounds like at least some of them have been offered a step-down role or severance option and they have the weekend to decide. most consumer will start on tuesday and roll throughout the week
Any idea of layoff counts under Katz?
Anyone know how many ICs getting impacted under Katz?
Do I have to repay the retention bonus if I was fired?
The retention bonus should be paid back if the termination was voluntary by the employee. But I was fired. So, do I need to repay it?
Anyone has retention bonus agreement from 2024?

Sue the sh’’ts out of them when they lay you off
Sue them, report to EEOC, get more severance pay, it’s your rights!
Severance Info
Well, it looks like more lay offs aren’t off the table. Can anyone share what the severance packages were like in the last layoffs? They don’t have a policy that is available like at other companies I’ve worked at.
No PTO Payout
Just wow. I was displaced (last day of employment was 12/26/25). Unused PTO payout is due the last day of employment. WF did not make that final payment. When I called, HR Service Center the automated message says payment will be made Jan 30th??? WTH?! Will that include interest?
Lousy and incompetent!
Optum and UHC
I was just checking out the Layoff board for UHC, and their last comment was like a month ago! Are Optum employees the only ones living with this whirlwind of layoffs? If so, I'll jump off of this nightmare cruise and head over there! Waiting to be laid off is so stressful...
Jan 2026 layoffs
On January 15, Baxter laid off about 100 people in the care communications division which focuses on nurse call, RTS, and wireless phones
Ageism Disguised as Layoffs- worst examples?
The average age of employees grades 14-17 seems to have dropped by over 10 years since 2022 at least in Sekou’s org. Clearly driven by layoffs. We’ve seen what looks like blatant examples of age discrimination. Pushing an over 50 to a unique role, replacing with a 30 something, a year later eliminating the unique role. Thats pretty common. What’s the worst example you’ve seen of age discrimination?
What was the layoff damage in PCS with recent announcement?
Anytime the email references consolidation/cost control/simplicity/stay focused you know there was some damage done. Additional carnage to come?
H1b on high risk
RF Sr Manager here Just had a meeting with my Sr. Director & it looks like most of the folks impacted on my team are H-1B employees, mainly to reduce OPEX costs. That’s really sad. We have some truly great people on the team and they’re top performers. It’s honestly worrying and disappointing.
Is this correct?
I got word that layoffs will continue through February. Watch yourselves.
Can somebody confirm this?
What do we know about the upcoming layoffs?
Where do we believe or know where majority of the layoffs are going to be? Do you think it’s all transformation or more than that?
Anyone under Lori Ames get sacked yet?
Is the culling over??
If you want to get the severance - proven method
Many of us would just like to be done with CA. The constant layoffs create undue stress on the employees. The stress and the health effects are not worth a couple of dollars extra.
But I wanted the severance as many of us do. Afterall in the world of layoffs why should we get the severance when we leave.
So, this is how I did it.
1) Quietly back off on the work you do. Be less productive but not to the point where HR takes notice.
2) Throw in a couple of mistakes here and there.
3) This is key. Casually let your boss know that you are thinking about retiring or leaving the company. Nothing official and absolutely nothing in writing. Provide no solid date.
a. If you do this well, they will start planning for your departure.
4) Never quit. Just mention is casually here and there. Eventually they will plan for your departure but when you do not leave, they will be forced into a layoff.
There! Several is not many thousands of dollars in your pocket.
What if you’re on pto on the day of layoffs?
What happens when you’re not available the day they send out the meeting invites?
Breakdown coming layoff for regional and area
Here’s a breakdown by region and area. These numbers have been verified.
All regions combined
ICs: 43 will be let go
Managers (including senior managers): 5
Per area
ICs: 10–12, depending on the area
Managers: 2 per area
To reduce costs, all senior managers in each area will be let go as their responsibilities can be handled by managers at a lower cost.
Don’t expect t a severance
The cowards in management are doing everything they can to avoid a severance to those who have put years into this company to get it to a position to be acquired for $4B. Shankar and Norlin are absolute cowards with no morals or appreciation for the people who do the work.
What happens after you get laid off? Do you still need to work?
Do you still need to work and hand off all your projects while you're still on payroll?
Any guesses to the total body count from today's massacre?
Former (as of 10 AM today) GAE - just wondering how many lost their jobs today. Serious questions need to be asked how the allegedly Best Network with Industry Leading 2025 quarterly results has dropped its stock price from $270 to $183 in 9 mo's. Good luck to all, I'm lucky & will retire as the package bridges me to age 65 & Medicare with good savings over 30 yrs at Vz. Such a shame and so far from the celebration of Q3 results - I guess $85B in '25, up from $81B in '24 and $78B in '23 just isnt enough??!!
Layoffs galore
I like many others in this forum was terminated from Pearson this week. Anyone considering joining Pearson should stay away. It’s a sinking ship!
Burlington Layoffs
Can anybody share details about how this went down? Was it one-on-one calls or a mass Teams invite like the one in July 2024?
The intel on this site has been incredible.
This should not have surprised anyone, but it’s devastating nonetheless.
We, the peasants, have formed a fortified army against the corrupt management team.
Big Layoff Coming
End of Q1 is what I’m hearing. Has anyone else been noticing the consultants and computer updates?
TFB layoffs
Looks like it’s all k-12 teams let go, 60% of SE’s, the entire SDR team, both directors for federal gov and half the AE’s in the federal gov space. It’s a bloodbath and it doesn’t seem to be ending yet. What happened to “we aren’t Verizon”? Clearly we’re worse because this hung over our heads for weeks before actually coming to fruition. It’s a special kind of cruel.
