3M GSC Poland is gonna be officially shut down. Of course they did a workaround and they're gonna "move" people instead of firing them so they can save on severances. Philippines and CR are next. They hold crucial processes so I don't think pi----g that many people off is a good idea. It's all gonna fall apart soon. It's impossible to keep any company running while disrespecting so many employees over and over again.

3M Poland: The Layoff Nobody Calls a Layoff
What is currently happening at 3M in Poland looks very much like a mass layoff carried out without formally calling it a mass layoff.
Employees are being transferred to Genpact, where, in practice, their primary role is to transfer knowledge to teams in India. Once that knowledge transfer is completed, people are being let go one by one as their responsibilities disappear. The entire process feels very similar to what happened during the Solventum transition, but on a much larger scale and in a far more explicit way.
What is most disappointing is how people were treated today. Long-term employees who helped build these processes and contributed to the company's success were treated with very little respect or empathy. For many, it was a humiliating and deeply upsetting experience.
It is difficult to watch dedicated and experienced employees become disposable once their knowledge has been transferred. A very sad day for many people in Poland.
Poland Changes/ Layoffs
Hi, does anyone have any insight on Warsaw locations and potential changes coming?
Trying to hide the mass move to India???
I found this article on LinkedIn -
Nike is undergoing a massive operational reset. In a move that signals a significant shift in corporate strategy, the sportswear giant is consolidating its global technology functions back to its Portland headquarters.
The Shift: Just two years ago, the strategy focused on expansion in hubs like Atlanta for #Al and #Cybersecurity.
Today, the focus has shifted to simplification. By closing tech offices in #Atlanta, #China, and #Poland, Nike is aiming to strip away organizational layers and align its tech talent more closely with core business priorities.
The Context:
Job Cuts: Part of a broader restructuring expected to eliminate ~1,400 roles.
Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Reassessment: As growth in digital retail moderates, Nike is
No mention of all the jobs they cut in tech in the US getting reposted to rehire in India
Layoffs in Poland?
any news?
The Fall of Rome
Huge operation center quietly getting set up in the Philippines. Layoffs every 2 months through 2027. Poland to have massive layoffs. Berwyn Pennsylvania getting gutted. India given increased role they can’t handle. Senior Management denies all and plays d-mb with the mid level managers. Mangers in London, Germany, and Singapore making all the decisions now. This is no longer an American company. Offshore, offshore, offshore. AI, AI, AI - which has proven to be a failure so far. PA is a particular mess, with virtually no competent leaders left. No leaders of people, just senior managers who have no idea of what actually occurs in their own office and couldn’t identify half the people they see on the way to the bathroom. 12-14 hour days are the norm and expected. Run far, far away from this company, unless you are filipino. Then you have a future. Or maybe if you want to do client service. They’ll need to hire more there to explain to all the clients why Rome is burning and the service has become dogshit. Side note, they’ll do a terrible job explaining because they have no idea what is going on. just mouthpieces…. My advice, get out now, especially if you are in the US or Poland. The founders of SS are rolling in their graves at what Uncle Ron and Clair Williams have done to the place.
Aml…….
Roles are going to Poland or AI.… “too much work” that’s what they say. Now they track how long we are active, production expectations through the roof, people getting ROD or PIP…. I heard June and July. Possibly FIU first?
5 day RTO coming soon and offshoring Poland Operation?
Hearing rumors of 5 days RTO will be coming soon and offshoring fraud operations to Poland? Anyone else heard this or have insight?
Countdown to takeback
Waiting for the takeback date? So many are; some context for you, Polish employment laws require that employees be given at least two months notice prior to a layoff. That places the takeback date on or around 05/05/2026 as of today.
Layoffs
So, 61 employees in Poland. How about other sites?
Aldi Nord Layoffs
30 SMs in Germany and 12 in Poland
Poland Team
As a US Based employee, curiosity to what happens (or is there something in place) if Russia continues to escalate and attempt invasion with Poland or things go south quickly there. I worry for them.
coming soon
September layoffs coming soon with additional cuts to be announced in Q3 Earnings Call.
Europe (Poland included) and US targeted
EMEA countries
What is the status for EMEA countries? Will they be impacted with layoffs? I am focused on Poland.Do you have any info?
Intel is laying off 24,000 employees and retreating from some countries
Intel says it will retreat from planned projects in Germany and Poland, end its assembly and test operations in Costa Rica, and finish 2025 with just around 75,000 “core employees” in total.
Intel employed 109,800 people at the end of 2024, of which 99,500 were “core employees,” so the company is pushing out around 24,000 people this year — shrinking Intel by roughly one-quarter.

Where in the world is Gajen Kandiah?
Has anyone ever seen GK physically in the US? His constant WebEx presentations can be done from anywhere in this world. With his close ties to Japan and the shifting of operations to Mexico City, Costa Rica, Poland and India from the US, it would be a fair guess that he is in India.
Akamai lay off in US Mar 2019
In the name of focussing investment in new areas of business, Akamai eliminated 120 positions primarily in US. The real motive of the layoff was to move the jobs to low cost countries like India, Costa Rica and Poland. Akamai is still hiring and retaining workers in US on immigrant visa to depress the wages and laying off American citizens. Akamai has struggled to grow like other internet companies for several years. Where are those Democrats and Republicans in Government protecting American jobs?
