I thought Fidelity NEVER laid off. Wasn’t that their big claim to fame?
troll alert
Layoffs are common and in the 10+ years I’ve been here, it’s only once a year.
Flash call looked very empathyless. Read from a text and abruptly ended in exactly 4 minutes. It should be called flash announcement.
People were more concerned after that call than before. It was very unsettling
i'll believe it's over if they put it in writing
our head sounded hopeful it was all over but our leadership has also spent the last year telling us no rif was planned, said our bu would be fine in the reorg (it's not)
Over for the month of May!
I'm aware of associates still being informed today. So not sure that communication for this is over yet.
@a5 (OP here) He very well might have been, the title of this post is more or less all he had to say. That there's nothing currently planned in the coming weeks/months
@a4 was he reading from a communication?
Ours said something like this too but then in a later question session the leadership admitted they "thought" it was over "for now" but wouldn't provide assurances. They also said they expected more changes in June and perhaps in September
@a2 This is what the CIO of my sector said in a flash call this morning. I'm simply relaying what he said
it does not seem like it’s over.
the long tenured associates were only told yesterday.
the remaining 25k associates to be “part of new model” will have their fate announced in stages till end of June.
Multiple folks reported having quick catch up scheduled with broader teams
This contradicts what has been discussed internally from other leaders. Unless you can share your role/title in HR, we don't believe you
