Did it affect your day to day in any way (positively or negatively)?
The GOP is targeting health insurance companies this year, and it will impact this company. The days of free money and corruption are over.

Today is a really sad day. Losing such talented and hardworking colleagues hurts deeply. You all made a real impact and this doesn’t define your worth. Wishing you strength and success as you begin the next chapter of your life
How is Financials are gonna be impacted. I heard business was a negative margin business and VZ deciding to double down on a losing business.
Sounds like a winning strategy to me. For competitors I mean
Personally, I do.
Dell has made it clear they want in office 5 days/week and has stated that all future roles are onsite ONLY - including internal movement. Remotes are not eligible for promotions, and I 100% guarentee it will cut into their bonus and merit raises, as well. Remotes will get a 50% max bonus, and a xyz max merit raise (1.5-2.5%) to force people to quit. That may not happen this year but I'm betting my bonus it will happen soon.
Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if that happens this year as like I said, Dell wants all employees to be local to an office and remote employment is no longer offered. What a great and sh---y way to force people to quit...
Essentially, they want everybody to be local to an office. Which is d-mb and pointless IMPO but, that's what they've made clear and in order to do that, they HAVE to begin cutting the remotes at some point.
My guess is unless you are below a sr. director, dell will help relocate you... otherwise it;'s on your own dime. aka 99% of the remotes are FUQD for relocating.
Well, unfortunately the only way to do this is by cutting the remotes. Exceptions will be made for a very small group of people but I doubt that even, as my director drives 90 minutes to the office daily, one way. overall, remotes IMPO are on the block going forward. Unless they relocate, which many won't.
Let’s see what teams are impacted this week!
anyone think there will be big cuts in marketing in HQ? Anyone hear anything?
I work in a CEC and I just got an email for a meeting with my director tomorrow. A big group of us got that email to be exact, should I worry this is a layoff convo??!
Anyone know how many ICs getting impacted under Katz?
In the lastest company communication, Ron says we 'mark a strong finish to another successful year for State Street'.
He also mentioned that he looking forward into workforce reductions. What a stand up guy!
If you heard your manager this month saying they had to attend 'transformation' meetings, this is what it was: Next Gen transformation. You and are team may get impacted.
Anyone know? Field impact?
FedEx announced it will close its Ship Center on Southridge Drive in Wichita Falls on Feb. 28. Employees were notified several months in advance and offered job placement assistance, including transfers to nearby FedEx locations or relocation support. The company did not say how many workers will be impacted.

We knew it was coming but still a horrible feeling to be impacted. Thanks to outsourcing and AI everyone is at risk!
It's unclear how many employees could be impacted. Before the merger with Cincinnati-based Fifth Third was officially approved, data from Downtown Dallas Inc. showed Comerica as one of 19 Fortune 1000 companies based in Dallas.

Rivian has recently been impacted by a new round of layoffs. These workforce reductions are described as having crippled the company's operations. The specific number of employees affected by these job cuts is not detailed in the headline. This development indicates ongoing challenges for the electric vehicle manufacturer. I can't figure out why would you do mass layoffs without truly considering the people and rolls you are cutting? They just got rid of people blindly without thinking about the impact on the future of the company. Who does that?
I received a request from management to investigate how AI could be used so that all the developers could be laid off. At the same time, there's a need to give management some levers to pull so they themselves can't be laid off, since they supposedly make important, high-impact decisions. Fu--ing muppets.
Anyone have any inside scoop? It does impact long term employees.
If leadership does, well, they’ll have to learn the hard way. And we’ll be the ones paying the price.
Brace for impact.
Sorry to the massive amount of I&C and remote workers impacted. Folks at PB ... if it hasn't happened today it will be tomorrow.
I’m so sorry for everyone impacted, especially with this happening just days before Christmas. Try not to let it get to you. It will all work out in the end. You’ll likely look back and be glad you left this place behind.
Amazon will lay off employees. A total of 84 workers will be affected. The layoffs will occur in Seattle and Bellevue. Impacted roles include engineering, recruiting, software development, and product management, affecting Seattle, Washington...

When 3,200 jobs disappear in a town of under 11,000 people, it's not just layoffs, it's the foundation of the whole place getting ripped out. That plant supports most of the families in town, and even though I left years ago, I can't stop worrying about my parents and everyone else whose lives are tied to those jobs. Watching a company do this and walk away like it's just a line item is devastating.
Besides the people that were let go, the impact on their families and this ever changing landscape, where it is difficult to find a new job, there are other casualties as well:
Work that will fall on the decimated teams, survivors guilt, and environment of fear and hopelessness.
Is it finally done for this calendar year?
I'm surprised that more impacted retail employees aren't pushing back especially directors. Do you know why you were chosen? If not, have you asked?
It looks like T-Mobile is also laying people off. Impacting managers and directors rather than ICs from what I can gather online but I have no direct knowledge.
It’s likely that the new CEOs at VZ and TMUS are engaged in a price war hence the cost cutting.
Great Dane announced it will cut back its workforce in Elysburg early next year as the market slows. The company says as many as 164 workers might be impacted, depending on economic conditions.

Not true.. faculty and course leads, coordinators are being let go
Dan mentioned that we can't rely on our network superiority anymore. No need to worry about that Verizon is the new Sprint. Major impacts to engineering teams. There won’t be a good network to rely on anyway. I am already setting the degradation happening.
All impacted and gone as well as impacted mentally from this BS and are staying employed should go to Glassdoor and absolutely annihilate the Verizon review of both the company and Dan the Hatchet man! Let our real pulse survey be heard!
What areas are expected to be impacted this week?
