Layoffs info

Layoffs across the USA as kyndryl’s new US president Rutledge is demanding grow or else mindset; senior mgt is being shuffled, senior leaders and experienced ppl ousted, they are back to the IBM ways of cut to get growth, which is like throwing the baby out with the bathwater!! Goal is 1400 US ppl laid off - these are ppl making average 150k base pay…. This is how they make growth targets!

Bumping this from @44z+1k33fss5e for info.

Is there no one else that can lead?

Why does HPE keep shuffling the same leaders around? Is there no one else in their mind that can do a lot of these jobs? Doesn’t look like people that want to move up will get the chance. Plus all of it feels mundane and routine nothing exciting about any of it.

JUST a matter of time.............

Sycamore Partners has replaced Walgreens CEO Tim Wentworth with Mike Motz, who was previously the CEO of office retail store Staples, another Sycamore company.

“Under that CEO’s watch, Staples shuttered a third of its stores,” he said. “It cut tens of thousands of jobs. We’re wary that if Sycamore applies that same playbook to Walgreens, if that CEO that’s coming over from Staples applies that same playbook to Walgreens, we’re going to have … thousands of stores closed, tens of thousands of layoffs, pharmacy deserts in neighborhoods that are already struggling with access to medication.”

Another one bites the dust... Optum Insight CEO out!

Girls night! Did ya get the email? Divvy's out! Pretty sudden, too. This on top of all the shuffling of other top brass. Lisa had the right idea. Vivian may have gone willingly, but was likely a witty casualty.

Can't say I blame them, I wish all the best. I'll be thrilled to be the next rat fleeing this sinking ship.

WHO's NEXT?!?

Reinvention update

To: All Employees
From: Leadership Communications
Subject: Reinvention Update

Dear Team,
As part of our ongoing Reinvention journey, we want to take a moment to recap the tremendous progress we’ve achieved, which on closer inspection looks suspiciously like chaos:

  • Q2 Results: While our financial performance was pure garbage, we see this as a powerful opportunity to demonstrate resilience and accelerate the pace of transformation, because turning failure into a buzzword is cheaper than fixing the business.

  • Leadership Evolution: John B has transitioned from his role as COO to continue serving on our Board, which sounds like a noble continuation but in practice means his head was required on a silver platter. He will chair the new Integration Committee, which is a committee no one asked for but looks reassuring in press releases.

  • Leadership Innovation: Our Chief Disruption Officer, Deena P, has announced she is leaving to spend more time with her family, which is the universally accepted code for “thank you for the selfies, now please go". We are grateful for the inspiration and hashtags she brought to Reinvention, because nothing drives shareholder value like social media content.

Looking forward, we are excited to announce the next step: a global headcount optimization initiative. Executives have been tasked with submitting names by end of Q3, at which point 3,600–4,800 colleagues will be invited to explore career opportunities outside the company.

As a global enterprise, we are committed to fairness, but also math: it is dramatically cheaper and faster to fire people in the U.S. than in other countries where local laws demand notice periods, unions, and dignity. Accordingly, our American colleagues should expect to play a leading role in this Reinvention milestone, because your jobs are legally the easiest to erase.

We understand there is hope that reductions will focus on less-productive management layers. While that hope is touching, history has shown us that those compiling the lists — along with their friends, spouses, siblings, and Saturday tennis partners — somehow never appear on them.

Thank you for your ongoing commitment to Reinvention. With fewer people, less stability, and more recycled jargon, we are confident that together we can continue to deliver bold PowerPoint slides that tell a story our numbers cannot.

Warm regards,

Your Leadership Team

Cuts, then Exec Shuffle

Scope3 appoints Tim Collier as chief commercial officer amid staff layoffs

Read the 8k on Gibbons

Now that it's public, perhaps the post won't be taken down!

Why are we treating him with kindness internally and saying he retired?? He was ruthless and never showed one ounce of respect for anyone in FIG. He was fired, relieved of his duties... Whatever. Retired gives him the dignity he never gave any one else. DISAPPOINTING announcement! We were clear on Jenn and the others. Why not him?

Multiple WellMed Presidents are Leaving

More rats leaving a sinking ship: John Lovelady announced today that Bryan Grundhoefer and Dr. Carlos Hernandez are leaving WellMed.

Bryan Grundhoefer served as president of WellMed Medical Management.
Dr. Carlos Hernandez served as president of WellMed Medical Group.

Bye bye Eric

HR head clown Eric Leef is leaving Hertz. Looks like he is the fall guy for the recent disaster employee survey. Good riddance! Unfortunately this departure won’t mean much for the Hertz employee workforce who are likely faced with continued compensation hardships stemming from a broken company.

Willis CRB

New top heavy Martian C-suite means they’ll have to clear out mid-level Directors with long complicated titles to justify new inflated salaries. WTW typically lays folks off before the third quarter or right before the holidays. AI, innovation and offshoring are increasingly popular and very un-American. They have started for 2025.

Hiring Stellantis Management

Apparently our "leadership", for lack of better words, believe that none of the current employees who have dedicated decades to the company and know its people and processes are competent enough to be promoted.

HR must have been wooing the Stellantis hires long before walking the Ford employees out as their replacement are announced with 48 hours. No wonder morale is low.
