Across corporate and in the stores too. This Christmas is going to be a flop. People are broke, some can’t even afford food, and plenty aren’t getting paid because of the government shutdown. With the prices up, expect spending to drop hard this holiday season. Mark my words, the results will be brutal, and we all know what comes next.

Sudden layoffs at Pottstown Hospital
Major cuts were announced at Tower Health on Friday and hundreds are now out of a job. The Health Network says the layoffs are due to what it calls financial challenges facing healthcare providers. Tower says expenses are increasing and they need to streamline services.

Layoffs
I heard that we had another round of layoffs today when is it going to stop. Real talent is just getting thrown out of the window.
What’s this rumor that some people were notified yesterday?
Any truth to it? I don’t personally know anyone, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Can anybody please provide more info on layoffs?
Is it over? How many people were hit? Which areas? Anything?

Surprised not more reports of RIFs
Certainly glad to hear it. I just thought we would have heard of more cuts, especially within Ambetter. And especially within Ambetter BH. Certainly hope it holds up for everyone, especially this time of year.
RIF 950
While we don't know exact count, rumour and water cooler chats are a buzz about ~1k cuts at each location / BU.
Majority of these are are level 6,7,8, squad leads, scrum masters and few 4,5 to make it seem random "business strategy alignment"
Sick joke, FU Bob 🖕🏻
Interesting that there was a layoff this week
Man, Control Management was banged on.
I didn't believe it, but this site actually had legit info. I see approximately 270 were severanced this week. I say approximately because the total count of severees went up by that number compared to a week ago, but every 60 days names drop off the list so some could be excluded from the count. I didn't do a full name comparison.
Of course the "proof!!!!" posts will come. Look up D Jank and his tree. Looks like he alone lost 8. 270 is not a huge number by any means, but they keep carving away.
Claim That IBM Has Another 8 Days to Lay Off 'Expensive' Staff

Major Reorg coming, C-Suite working through 10% workforce cuts.
Brace yourselves, its imminent and before the end of the year.
Customer facing = Safe
This is just my view.
Customer facing roles = Safe
Operational / Back office / Marketing = Not
Mid-Level Reporting / Your job can easily be automated = Not
Band 6 and above (5 to C-Wing) = Nope
Not safe means up to 25-40% reduction.
16 more days and we will know.
EVP & SVPs are going to be axed?
Someone talking about few key well known leaders are going to let go. Anyone knows more about it. Big guys names are in the talk. Share or if you hear anything about it.
Layoff risk
Who is most at risk of being laid off? Is it based on salary typically or what is the criteria?
Layoffs every Tuesday?
Some coworkers I worked with every now and then were just let go yesterday. Are they doing layoffs every Tuesday now??
The Register.com: IBM cutting several thousand jobs in latest layoffs

GTO to face 30% stateside reduction
Leaders have started meetings this week to address cutting resources, mostly onshore, before eoy to meet 2026 budget and mgcc staffing commitments.
On a similar topic, there continues to be odd conversations about consolidating into a single Cary building which would only be accomplished by more cuts and offshoring.
The future doesn’t look very good for those stateside.
"With this in mind, cuts between one and five percent would equate to anywhere from 2,700 to over 13,500 on the higher end of the scale."

Is he really saying this?
Is he really talking to us about how we manage our pay and cut backs we have to do at home? He did get a raise this year, when have we received a raise to support the cost of living increases?
‘Churn and Burn’ associates and managers
RVP’S and GvPs are told to churn and burn all store managers and associates
Push as many people out as possible (managers included) get em out, get em in at a lower pay rate
They now want frequent turnover to keep costs down, always hiring at a lower pay rate
The quality of the person they hire does not matter as long as they are low cost
Some people won’t quit, so they increase workload, micromanaging, favoritism, ect….you see this at belk time and time again
It will only get worse
Get out if you can is my only advice
November 14th is the day?
Hearing from multiple sources that a layoff is planned for November 14th?
Stock price tanks, washes out gains back to January. How low can it go? Thanks RTO
Look at the stock price that all the RTO defenders pointed to. We’re back to the January levels, headed for sub-$20, bet.
Where are these RTO defenders now? Hope all you id--ts sold lmao.
By the way you also won’t be getting a bonus due to the increased operating costs RTO has imposed on the business. RTO is working!!!
Big Cuts on the way!
This website is now blocked internally. The last time this happened was August 2023. Know what I mean jellybean?
CVE–Strathcona Shady Side Deal
The MEG “improved offer” announcement should make a few folks inside CVE uncomfortable. The question investors should be asking isn’t whether the Vawn assets are material to Cenovus, it’s whether the side-deal Strathcona received treats all other MEG shareholders fairly. Because if a private buyer gets a sweetheart deal on sold assets, that’s a transfer of value - plain and simple - and it raises serious questions about compliance with securities-law principles of fair and equal treatment. It’s also striking how the MEG board hides behind its advisors (BMO, RBC) instead of defending its own judgment. “Our advisors told us it was fine” isn’t a fiduciary defense - it’s an abdication of duty. If this ever gets real regulatory attention from the ASC - or even the SEC - the paper trail around valuation assumptions, fairness opinions, and board communications will matter. Until then, rank-and-file CVE employees get to watch leadership pretend the assets were sold at fair value while staff job cuts hang in the balance.
Freddie’s lost its mojo. No inspiration, just cuts and numbers.
Leaders are afraid to communicate, afraid to get in the news, afraid of baby-napoleon-pulte, afraid to have ideas. The only word left in their vocabulary is efficiency. They think they are being political savvy tracking people’s calendars, emails, badging. I am not blaming them. Just feeling sad for them. What a culture:(
PNC Buying Truist
Any truth in this? I've heard multiple rumors that PNC is buying us. We are cutting expenses big time for a couple years now at anything middle market or under level. Something is in works but I am unsure if these rumors have any validity to them. Weird times we live in.
Were anymore layoffs announced today?
Have anymore layoffs been announced today?
Layoffs 11/03
Approx 15% company being laid off
Some nerve!
Reducing our paycheck amounts in 2026 with this 27 week pay period non-sense, increasing our out-of-pocket health care expenses and still pushing us to buy EH stock because nobody else wants it??? Seriously Executives, stick your head out of your million and billion dollar bubbles and see how everyone else is trying to survive with the low merit increases and next to nothing AIPs now. Buy EH stock with what??? We don't have anything left at the end of the month after we pay our bills thanks to the C suite pocketing all of the company profits.
Why do I have a feeling there'll me more cuts this week?
Please, somebody, tell me I'm wrong.
Layoffs are not the worst option
We lost nearly half of our team in the last round. Do you think our workload decreased? Nope. We were told to make it work, to take on every leftover task as if we were suddenly twice the size, with no extra pay or support in sight. I am now praying to be among those affected whenever we have cuts again.
Cut cut cut cut
Cut cut cut cut cut cut
Is it over?
Does anyone think/know if it’s over? Anyone know how many have been laid off?
If Verizon riffed all Senior Directors would they be missed?
Would be a great cost saving and I don’t think they add much when there are already managers, senior managers,ADs and Directors
Get rid of some of the fat and Verizon might have a chance
VZ management is over staffed
It is crazy hearing about RIFs when we have so many executives and most people have no idea what they even do. CEO has a meeting, then the SVP has a meeting, then the VP, then the Sr director, etc. All just say the same things and ask what did you think about what the ceo said. If they want to cut costs start with upper and middle management.
Is there more?
Does anyone have actual info on if there will be more layoffs this spring? What would be the purpose of a two wave layoff? Why not one fell swoop?
