Say what you want, but I like that we got a heads-up about these cuts, even if it caused weeks (months) of stress. I got lucky and am still here, but if I had been affected, at least I would’ve been ready. If it had been a sudden announcement, I’m pretty sure that wouldn’t have been the case.

Yeah, ZERO heads up, not even for managers. Not for managers losing people, not for managers being laid off, not even for managers suddenly finding themselves in charge of new teams.
Don’t worry, those of us that are left probably won’t be here too much longer. Consider this second, bigger round of layoffs this year as your wake up call that more layoffs are coming down the road and will keep coming.
Please continue taking your meds.
@op - Do you know humble bragging is? You are the definition of it.
@OP
You have an interesting definition of 'lucky'. Enjoy the sleepless nights from either working harder to make up for those affected or from the anticipation of the 'next round'.
I received no heads up. In fact a couple months ago my second line told us all to ignore the rumors of a layoff happening
What heads up?! I have never, ever seen such an inhumane, disrespectful reorg in my life! The image of LE on linked in on how AI is the new age is nauseating.
What heads up.... ...
Is everything ok with you?
