HC Fishing?

Please be careful with how specific you are on here, especially about “inefficiencies” or even confusion in your areas. Some of the recent comments feel like fishing attempts by the people who are trying to cut staff.

Keep it general enough to stay safe.

PS. I set out a Pennies for Penny jar by Trailblazers. She needs our help!

mans and dirs

Some managers and dirs just do follow ups, just they pressure on developers to deliver data to meet deadlines. They didn't even know proper architecture, business, no proper direction to dev's and some even don't know basic git commands. I don't know how are they even surviving in this org.

I think the most recent round of layoffs confirmed what many of us suspected

Citi is on a path of steady decline. It will keep shedding employees, it will keep shrinking until there's barely anything left of what once was. And then even that small remaining piece will collapse and take whoever is still there with it. So here's my advice. If you're smart, you won't wait around for that to happen. You'll be long gone before the end.

Admins at Centene?

How likely is it that they eliminate administrative staff? On the one hand, they wouldn't function well without us, on the other hand they constantly underestimate how much operational impact we have. I'm just getting tired of worrying about job stability every couple of years. Maybe it's time to take the exit. IDK...

Medtronic Corp dev has to be the d-mbest group in the world

Is anyone fed up with the rampant stupidity of this group? Forget diligence because that would mean they would need to actually work but what loser approved cerevasc? That company is a scam and these mo--ns in corp dev are clueless who keep repeating the same old tricks again and again to drive the company into the ground

asset protection or new global protection

Just had asset protection visit our office and do a presentation on how reports and investigations are handled!
I have been here 27 years and I have never seen these guys show up somewhere in person and usually you didn't even know they were here!!
Very suspicious they would even have a meeting with our group, has anyone else had this happen to them?
they even had a Q and A session after on their procedures.

Looks like share price is taking again

Someone mentioned on this forum not long ago that the executive board wants to take the share price below €100 so they can have more layoffs. It seems it's on track to do that. This AI obsession with price increase makes no sense. What is the tipping point for them to start layoffs?

Welcome to USBank India email sent by executive just now

Are these guys tone deaf??? They just sent an email with USBank India and how this new guy they hired will make USBank India great again.

So those of us on Operations are all going to to lose 0ur job to USBank India and they send this email out about how great this new guy is shipping all jobs to India and Philippine

Time to say goodbye?

Like all of you, I have been anxiously evaluating my options. For ME personally, my VSP was pretty mid, but I'm early in my career... walking away from a good job and title with a little bit of cash isnt that bad. my big worry is that they boot me earlier than September 1... not a fan that the VSP numbers may "vary." We have no leverage in this bargain other than to stay to make it more difficult during restructuring. The risk of lay off is scary... a few departments have already restructured in the past two years, so its hard to imagine they will even accept my application... Not sure how to feel about the paranoia associated with applying and being added to some "list." If anything I think this is an attempt to shed as many high earners and potentially replace at lower salaries? Idk... I hope everyone is ok lol

July DNME???

I have a very fuzzy charter right now. I feel I was left behind to ensure nothing breaks, but with each day it seems my work is not likely to meet the never ending evaluation. All this to say, I don't really have a job right now. I'm in limbo.

Has there been any word on July round of layoffs or cuts? Did all 3000 employees get notified before? Or will some of them be notified before fiscal year end?

I don’t trust the email

I just opened my severance package, and I’m honestly a little flabbergasted. After being employed 8 years with the company, my offer is less than $25,000.

What concerns me even more is the wording. It keeps saying “you may” instead of clearly stating what will happen. Nothing about it feels guaranteed, which makes me question whether they’re actually committing to what they’re offering OR trying to to terminate me prior to the Sept 1st date.

When leadership meetings leave you concerned

I’ve been in enough high-level meetings lately that I can’t shake an uncomfortable feeling. I’m not saying the company is doomed. I’m not saying tomorrow is the end. But I am surprised more people aren’t talking about some of the warning signs. When every conversation becomes about cost cutting, reorganizations, efficiencies, and “doing more with less” while long-term investment, innovation, and employee confidence take a back seat… it’s hard not to wonder where this is headed. Maybe leadership has a bigger plan that isn’t obvious yet. I hope that’s the case. But sometimes companies don’t collapse all at once. They slowly drift there while everyone convinces themselves the next quarter will fix everything. I could be wrong, and I genuinely hope I am. But if people in the room are uneasy, perhaps it’s time to start having honest conversations instead of pretending everything is business as usual.
