Cannot say more, but some teams in Risk are being considered for cuts. Target looks like around at least 20 percent of teams in high-cost locations should be gone by EoY. This would be either through relocation to cheaper place or redundancy.
When do we get our last paycheck if your last day is April 21st?
My last day is today but I didn’t receive my last paycheck that comes with the PTO/ sick days. Does that mean it’s coming in on Thursday?
If Citi AI was all that and a bag of chips, they’d use it on the least complicated role and get rid of HR.
The record keeping, filing, personnel data correlation yada yada….is nowhere near technically complicated as a majority of roles. If AI can’t manage that, then you can forget it being able to handle anything more than that. So, start there. Let... — read more
AML cuts
Anyone hear anything about cuts in AML?
Anything about this week?
Will there be more cuts?
WARN Notices
Does Citi post WARN notices? Florida, Texas, Delaware? I am curious as I have checked but haven’t seen one and I am aware that there have been many layoffs in these states.
I'm scared
My wife lost her job three months ago. She worked there nine years. We have four kids. If I get laid off, we're ruined. Please share real information. I just want to provide for my family.
The Women We (Don't) Admire
I thought you would find this page interesting: https://thewomenweadmire.com/2026/04/citi-chief-jane-fraser-takes-advisory-role-at-federal-reserve/ Reminds me of the movie "The Devils Advocate"
I have yet to figure out the purpose of RTO
No revelations yet, besides my expenses going up and feeling like they want to get rid of us. I haven't met new people, I haven't expanded collaboration beyond my usual circle (whom I communicate with online), and I most definitely haven't become... — read more
Redeployment at Citi -- RIFfed in 2026
Has anyone had any sort of luck using the Talent Redeployment program / link as contained in the HR notice relating to Employee Separation ?
Does HR Track Hours or Just Badge In/Out for In-Office Days?
Our company requires 3 days in office, but at my location, I’ve noticed some people come in, stay around 3 hours, and then leave after lunch. Does HR actually track the hours spent on-site—like is there a minimum of 6 hours or something? We have to... — read more
Shobhit Varshney got RIFed
Does anybody actually believe Shobhit found another role outside of citi and decided to leave on his own? Dude has only been at Citi for 8 months and was supposed to revolutionize AI at the bank with those amazing IBM insights (as if IBM knows... — read more
This place is not actually concerned with business risk or proper risk management.
They are not worried about being out of compliance for years. The only thing that seems to matter is getting their scorecard to look green and protecting their bonus. It is a bunch of fat cats running the place into the ground, then moving on... — read more
Boston Consultancy Group
I doubt that Citi had extra “credit” with the Boston Consultancy group. This is probably just said to cover up spending the money for consulting since we are supposed to be in saving mode.
Saas buying
Buying SaaS products from vendors sounds simple—subscribe and go—but it’s where a lot of companies quietly lose money or flexibility if they don’t evaluate properly. Citi can save lot of money if they stop all SaaS tomorrow instead of cuts
Flatter Org Delays Decisions
Managers spread too thin across dev teams become unavailable for decisions needed to proceed to next steps. So developers wait a week for a standup to escalate a decision, which gets skipped by the spread-thin manager delaying resolutions... — read more
FL cuts end of April
Florida will have cuts at the end of this month in a certain team. They just want all the work finished first, then May 1 there will be a 5 min outlook invite.
How big is this round?
I know people keep mentioning so called "surgical" layoffs that are constantly happening, but this seems larger than that. Am I wrong?
Tech Risk and Control Impacted
A team member based out of NY got impacted. They are cutting the roles from NY, Tampa, London and moving them to Canada, Mexico and Poland. Take care of yourself people!

Low Workload, Layoffs, and What’s Next?
So, here’s the situation: Other teams have actually been pulling work away from us, thanks to all the AI fears, restructuring, and process simplifications. Our MD is super hands-off, and now we’re averaging under two hours of work a day. I have no... — read more
New ways to get more work
Carrot + stick + fear + metrics” = control-based management Transparency = trust-based management
Aml…….
Roles are going to Poland or AI.… “too much work” that’s what they say. Now they track how long we are active, production expectations through the roof, people getting ROD or PIP…. I heard June and July. Possibly FIU first?
Wake up folks
Citi is quietly doing layoffs without much noise like Amazon or Microsoft. They are not in news much. The government must look into the fake internal job postings, promotions for favorite candidates, and immigration visa abuse. Citi is notorious for... — read more

Was given notice of layoff in February and my last day is next week Tuesday. How many PTO days would I have if from the beginning of the year until now? Is it like an extra week worth of pay?
How long does it take to get severance?
In the document they gave me they said it’ll take 1-2 pay periods to process and be delivered into your bank account but I’m seeing cases on here where people are waiting a few months out and still haven’t gotten it. Are these outliers?
Missing severnace even though they are making record profits
How does a company justify not paying severnace even though they are making headlines for record profits? Do you think the 5 digi severnace they give is that hard? I got laid off January and still waiting on severnace
RIFed today - co workers as well
A few C14s in my team were RIFed as well as a C15. We were under Ross Callan. Offices impacted were Delaware, NY, Texas, and Florida. Day after the earnings call. Classic.
I think some of you are lying

My time at Citi is almost over
