What percentage do you think ?

I’m thinking they will cut a total of 14 percent maybe 15 , thinking 65000 employees left or little less once done. We will see.. horrible.

Told not to talk about last week...

I just found out we're not suppose to talk about what happened about anything that happened last week because it's being monitored on teams!?! This place is a disgrace on so many levels...

Things to know

My heart sincerely goes out to those of you who have been impacted. I was laid off during a previous ‘round’ several years back during Covid, and let me first say I personally know how you are feeling … it is completely eviscerating. The only... — read more

POC disproportionately affected

Has anyone else noticed that people of color were disproportionately affected by lay-offs? In my team, the majority of people impacted were black and brown... This seems odd in light of Centene's supposed DEI.

the new way to build morale

My PC was replaced by IT last week, and I informed a friend that it was a brand-new machine. My friend burst out laughing and said, "It's used exactly like the one before." Now, however, IT is only permitted to utilize equipment that appears to be... — read more

I don't feel like it's the weekend

I feel completely drained and unable to relax. While I know it might be over, the "for now" part keeps hanging over my head and fueling my anxiety. I wonder if this is how I'm going to be feeling all the time. One thing is clear, Centene has messed... — read more

Fresh Eyes - Friday thoughts

It occurred to me this morning that a common leadership principle is to never let a good crisis go to waste. Crisis creates opportunity for change that is otherwise difficult to implement. While our executives are repeating issues with Medicaid... — read more

Performance doesn’t matter

Was laid off, been recognized for going above and beyond, exceeds expectations, etc. Don’t bust your tail for these people - it doesn’t pay off

Severance pay

8 wks pay for someone who worked in IT for a year and hal. You're welcome

Tough week, self-care

This has been a tough week with more challenging weeks to come. We are all able to acknowledge the failure of leadership from the top down, and that likely will not improve. If possible, find ways to care for yourself outside of the work day. Get in... — read more

Rs layoffs

UM here and have been stuck on 40+ same day TAT for months. RS can’t keep up but layoffs regardless- top employees at that. This won’t end well

I wish I had been laid off

I know it might sound insensitive, but it's the truth. I realized in the last few days I don't want to work at a place like this anymore. My mental health is very important to me. Considering that I don't believe things will improve, the only way to... — read more

This is taking a toll on all of us

Since this layoff was "leaked" .... whoever is responsible for that, thank you.... more so please keep leaking. If there are truly more months of layoffs coming, I think we should all demand transparency. (not the passive comments made in townhall)... — read more

How many people over 50 were shown the door?

I know a few younger people who were cut, but I know many more of the more experienced, older employees who got the bad news this week. I know this was mentioned before, but is there really nothing to be done about a such blatant case of age... — read more

Sarah - Do we need product directors??

Most of product directors and VPs have 5-8 resources reporting to them..why can’t these product directors be let go instead of product owners and product managers being let go? Replace these directors with managers to save dollars

Spies around

Have you noticed there some characters hunting down everywhere that someone calls Sarah the poet, and down voting every time that something is said about this id--t , incapable CEO that shows zero empathy or humility towards employees.

Blackballed

Is it even worth it to apply within or have we all been blackballed???

Not surprised!!!

The board of directors been trying to change this company forever. Sarah just the fall guy That’s why they were trying to force Michael to retire.

2,000 Cut or Much More?

Do you feel this round of cuts is much bigger than 2,000 they announced. It feels this cuts deep and wide, so wanted to see if you feel the same way as well. Anecdotally, I work in a small group of about 20 closely knit people and we lost 6 so far... — read more
