As I read these posts, I feel deep concern for both current and former teammates. I want to gently remind everyone that if you’re facing something difficult or need support, you can reach out to the Ethics Alert Line. It’s managed by an independent, external provider and is available 24/7 at 866‑480‑6138 or https://crowncastle.alertline.com. You are not alone, and resources are always here for you.
Today we had a rather disturbing EAP meeting for teams who recently lost leaders as a means to check in. While the sentiment was nice it quickly turned into , IS MY JOB SECURE?
To which we were met with nothing short of WE DONT KNOW! There a chirpings of the FEC family engagement center being shut down . I’m sure that this was the heads up today
So, after logging into EAP (Spring Health), a big splash screen said my EAP would end 2/4/26. Well, excuse me, but the FAQ say EAP ends at the end of the benefit period, which for me/mine is 7/31/26. After calling them and confirming the date THEY say, I am currently "battling" with EAP and providing said screen shots, severance period, etc. Has anyone else encountered this? On another note, I did receive the Cobra package yesterday, and it does appear the coverage ended on 12/31, but if you look on the back of the 1st page, you should find YOUR end date. I saw an earlier post with some ppl freaking out. (I need some counseling DA---T!! :-) )
Anyone else has stress, mental and anxiety problems. I just cannot work today. I had trouble sleeping over the weekend. My wife says that I should stop thinking about it, but I cannot. Trying to meditate, helps a little bit but it's hard. I am thinking many of us are in the same position. How do you cope????????????????????/
With so many long term people who have been there 20+ years getting axed, have there been any RIF induced sueys that anyone has heard of??
I reached out to someone who was still employed there just to see what has been going on but didn’t directly ask about any RIF, it’s been complete radio silence which is kind of unusual for this person. This is really hard for some people so I have really no idea how to approach people about these situations.
It’s almost exactly like not knowing what to say to people who are going through mourning and just had a loved one die or something similar to that, actually maybe even worse???
I always think back to that guy at Dell 2 years ago in Texas, he had been there over 20 years and then got the RIF.
He went right out to the Dell parking lot and said:
“ “this is all I know”…….”
Any tips on keeping the sueys at bay for our fellow colleagues who are going through it right now??
Word has it that from Dec those not already claiming will be barred from entering EAP for OOK. Let’s hope the VP get cold feet.

I can feel my lungs collapsing in on me I am freaking out. I'm 50 years old, flat broke after the divorce and everything is collapsing in on me right now. it feels like it's just not going to get better. like I had my chance and I blew it and that was it. all the jobs are disappearing or getting overseas, I feel like this is it like this is the end of the career and I'm never getting hired again I don't even fu--ing know anymore. maybe it's just time for me to go now anyways, what do I have to look forward except waiting to die in the street
With so many recent conversations here, this feels important to say: Mental wellness is a vital part of overall health. If you’re struggling, reaching out for support is not only important—it’s courageous. And remember, mental health care is covered by our health insurance plan, just like physical health.
This isn't a pleasant event to see, clearly not a very nice person, but I don't support this nuclear approach people are taking to individual related incidents. Exposing bad behavior on social media can destroy a person in many ways and maybe that's justified. But attacking the company is terrorism. No company knows the beliefs and personal behaviors of every employee, (not for lack of trying #EAP). This can hurt other people, other employees, suppliers, and customers. Once all the racists are destroyed who is next? Let's notify employers about DUIs and maybe bankruptcies.
Anyway. Fine if you don't agree but I am sure we can all agree that it is fantastic that Change Healthcare's VP of Communications is named "Woketecki".
