How long after being let go Does somebody disappear from teams?

There was a colleague in a different department that I worked with and anytime I look them up on teams they are still there, last seen approximately 2 months ago. I have a feeling they were let go, but wouldn't they be gone from teams by now? Maybe they are on a medical leave, which is why I don't want to ask them. Thank you

Lincoln Financial

Does anyone have experience with submitting a leave of absence? I’m getting the approval, pay, and job protection through the state but Centene still requires me to submit the leave request through Lincoln Financial, which includes signing an authorization form that allows the release of all my my medical records, credit reports, personnel records, tax records, and more. They then include a statement noting that my information is not subject to state and federal privacy laws.

Is this normal and legal?? Like I said, I’m not even using Centene’s short-term disability, I just need official leave on record so o can’t get fired for not giving proper notice.

Can we go on leave of absence while in a severance .period?

I am curious if one could go on leave of absence while they are in their severance period which ends on December 26. I just received a letter in the mail telling me that the employer is going to pay for this starting on January 1, 2026. If anybody has any insight on this, I would appreciate a response.

Leave for absence (unpaid)

I’m thinking about requesting it in the near future to take care of my family. Would it be possible to request it for a period of around 6–12 months? Is there any risk that I wouldn’t be allowed to return afterward? Has anyone, or one of your colleagues, taken it before and returned successfully?

Burnt out

Unlike most folks here, I liked working at Chevron. Good people, good pay, interesting work… I’m considered a high performer…but I’m so burnt out I don’t know what to do. I’ve been working basically 2 jobs for the last 3 years. I’ve reached the point where I dread coming in, looking at emails, getting IMs. My bosses have agreed it’s unsustainable, but I’ve cycled through 3 bosses in this period, with no continuity to make changes.

And, it’s clear post reorg this will all get worse. Less competent bosses with less time.

The only solutions I see are quitting or a leave of absence. Taking vacation is pointless, as I end up working 20-40% of the time anyway.

Question regarding Leave of Absence

I’m currently in a very toxic work environment, and it’s starting to take a toll on my mental health. I’ve even begun experiencing some physical symptoms. I’d like to take a leave of absence, but I’m not sure how to begin the process. Where should I start, and has anyone here gone through something similar? I’m located in California.
