It’s been awfully quiet

I've had friends in other companies who gave their notice, only to be terminated on the spot. The professional thing is to give notice, but I am afraid that if I do, I will be let go on the spot.

People are rumbling at the support center about a change in bonus, making it a long-term incentive or something like that. Does anyone have a communication summary on that? I think it only went to Sr. Managers and up.

I’m truly sorry for everyone who was laid off, it’s heartbreaking to see. But I can’t shake the feeling this may not be the end of it. I think it’s wise to stay alert and keep an eye out for other opportunities, just in case.

Ok, so the email confirming 80 layoffs came out today. Why wasn't Walgreens on the WARN list? I check it daily to try and guess when I'm going to get canned. I guess it will be a total surprise. How fun!

The few people I know who were cut are all in their 40s and above. Was that intentional?

Listening to the Townhall now, leadership turned off the user comments on the video. Surely, leadership knew the text chain would be a constant barrage of employees stating they do NOT want to return to office at Deerfield.

Who is interested?

Especially about the remotes. Who in their right mind would relocate for a job, only to risk losing it a few months later anyway?

We can't fit everyone at the Deerfield office but that's the point: Layoffs are inevitable and they want people to quit. Stick it out for your severance and WARN act pay.

They don’t care about us at the Support Office. Everything is so Field-focused now and if they want that, then they can run the show at Corporate themselves. I’d love to see what happens if everyone just mass quits, ha!
