Pretty hard to work in an environment like you do...wondering what is happening or going to happen. Sad

@n1 leadership does not care if anyone has to commute 50+ miles to DF. See FAQ.
Will team members assigned to OPO be granted remote status if they live 50 miles from Deerfield?
We are committed to in-person collaboration. Team members at our OPO location will be reassigned to Deerfield and will be expected to meet our four-day a week in-office policy.
I just hope the folks that are 50 miles from Deerfield can get an exemption and work from home at least an extra day or something. The calculations for 100 miles round trip x4 days a week ends up over 20k miles in a year just for commute. Plus tolls, gas, wear and tear. I understand they have to close OPO but throw us a bone please. :(
We just have to remember that Walgreens is a business that has to make money to survive! Sometimes, that involves cutting payroll!
No job is guaranteed. I like what I do for my company. I feel good at the end of the day in how my work makes an impact on society. No company is perfect. Wish they kept OPO open but they have to do what they have to do. I will commute and make the best out of what they have. For some people, it may not work. And they may leave, that’s up to them. Not everyone’s situation is same. Some might be better off at some other place.
I wish people like the OP would realize folks need to feed their family. You wouldn’t dare say this cr-p to someone’s face.
No position at any job is ever guaranteed. I know quite a few people who left Walgreens only to get laid off a couple months later from their new job or to realize they hated it and actually came back. Walgreens is a large company and not everyone who works here hates their job. I personally can say I like what I do, my coworkers and my boss. If I wanted to leave I would.
People have been leaving Walgreens; however, some of them got replaced by new workers.
This is a false choice post. People are leaving and it doesn't make sense for Walgreens to employ zero people. That isn't logical for a company to have zero people.
What a pointless post.
If you don't have any REAL information about upcoming layoffs, don't post on this page!
So stupid.
Hey just because you lost your job at Walgreens does not make it right to make anyone else sad, What's sad you doing this and you don't have a job. Go look for a job and get off this site.
What’s sad is someone like you coming on here trying to make people worry or feel bad. Go find something else to do loser.
