Dollar Tree is quietly taking many shuttered Walgreens and CVS locations. Once they have enough they will add pharmacy and Starbucks, Ulta or Sephora. Any poor strategic actions like making experienced people quit will just accelerate that make their 10 billion investment become 1 billion or bankrupt.

@d2 what does dollar tree subleasing Walgreens have to do with Walgreens laying people off. It doesn’t have anything to do with anything. Dollar tree is doing it strategically? No kidding of course they are. They have a business to run and can get cheap rent. Just like they have for years and years with closed Walgreens . Just because a company is taking over an old pharmacy box doesn’t mean they’re going to become a pharmacy. I can’t even follow the logic. It’s a d-mb post that makes no logical sense. Pharmacy is moving from retail and you think dollar tree(?!?!??) is going to somehow make it work. They’re literally subleasing the spaces. Walgreens is selling the scripts to other pharmacies. Why would dollar tree allow them to do that if they wanted to get into Rx. Again , d-mbest post I’ve seeen on this site and there are a lot of d-mb posts
You don’t like the post that tells them not to layoff people. Dollar Tree is taking the stores strategically.
