Confused about severance payout
Please be kind I feel d-mb for not quite understanding this. So Warn act gives me 13 weeks till Jan 30th but where does severance come into play? Does it start right after the 30th? If it’s 2 weeks for every year I should be getting 8 weeks. And the there is this whole business with signing the agreement in a “timely manner” and they will give an additional weeks pay?! The email from HR with all the docs was a bit confusing

60 days is the Warn act
Wanted to ensure everyone knows that the 60 days that is provided is not out of generosity of target. Its a way they are actually getting around notifying the minnesota government of the mass layoffs. Instead of notifying the government first 60 days in advance of a planned layoff, its notifying employees and at the same time telling the government. Look up the minnesota warn act.
Just piling onto the absolute abysmal job target is doing to communicate.

Comcast closing its West Division, cutting 302 jobs in Centennial
Comcast Corp., owner of the nation’s largest cable TV and broadband provider Xfinity, informed the state on Wednesday that it will eliminate 302 positions at its West Division office in Centennial at the end of the year.
The company, one of the largest private sector employers in the state, said it would close its West Division headquarters at 9401 E. Panorama Circle in Centennial as part of a larger streamlining that will remove all three divisional headquarters.

Goldman Sachs laying off 343 employees in NYC

Assuming that the much rumored Citi Tampa layoffs for September will trigger the Warn Act, do you get a 60 day non working notice and then severance (in my case 3 months) or just 30 days severance plus unused vacation. TIA.
