Thread regarding Comcast layoffs

@40m Varies by role and tenure. It does include YEB, but unexercised stock options are gone as of April.

Can anyone share what they received for a layoff package?
Had heard mixed comments of 2 weeks for every year. What about YEB or stock grants?

They are slowly migrating into the new drafting system. Seems design and asbuilt teams are still drafting / cleaning up everything before the migration

Asbuilt and design team are not letting anyone go. They already did it in the first round. Seems that they are safe for now

Hasn't been much in the way of news as far as Northeast division layoffs. Have they been spared? what happens with the Greater Boston Region as well. Can't imagine they need duplicate jobs in both the current region and old divison, i.e. multiple VPs, multiple directors, etc.

Not sure what teams are getting effected, but there was a huge call and apparently anyone on design / As-Built is safe in the 3 regions

No WARN notices filed for NH (NE Division) or MA (Greater Boston Region) as of yet. Have the layoffs been put on hold?

Curious to see what positions are being retained. If you look at the West and Central Division job titles, you see a LOT of VP positions being eliminated. Makes you wonder why they needed to be so top heavy in the first place.

Northeast is affected same as everyone else. Even if you do stick around there’s always another shoe to drop… 5 days RTO, region mergers, further consolidation at HQ. Take your pick of one or all, this isn’t the great place to work it once was.

All 3 divisions are done. Very few jobs opening in HQ. Its a shark tank right now with people applying for those roles.

Office is weird, you'll do an interview and then 5 mins later someone next to you will be interviewing with the same group.

Apply externally. Get the he-l out of there.

Seems that about every three years Comcast has been doing this, and at the same volume! At least they (used to) give some notice and offer a severance package- which is at least better than the other MSOs currently doing this have done!

Any word on the Northeast (or whatever its name is now) Division layoffs? I see messages about the West and Central Divisions.

Wondering if that new nationwide regional structure is just going to be made up of what was once the Northeast Division, and what happens to the regions that reported to the NE.
