Do you think there may be small/medium/large Gap layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?
Mass layoffs everywhere lately, and it’s freaking me out
Heard some people here might’ve been let go a couple days ago, it’s hard not to worry. Feels like the writing’s on the wall. People are spending less, things are slowing down. I just hope this isn’t the start of something bigger.
Unsettling rumors
There's been talk lately about some positions being eliminated. I don't know where it originated, but if it's true, does anybody here have more info on it? What positions are in danger? I truly hope it's just people's imagination running wild because... — read more
Any chance they’ll ever hire enough people?
We’ve all been running ourselves into the ground here. No one can keep doing the work of two or three people forever.
What’s keeping you holding on to this job?
Honest question. I haven’t had a raise in years, and I haven’t seen a real chance to move up, or even just switch roles, for what feels like forever. It’s like being stuck on a treadmill, exhausted but not getting anywhere. The only thing keeping me... — read more
I need a retailer with comparable benefits
I think I’m about to be fired, so I’d like to avoid having that hang over my head by leaving on my own. I hate this because I love my job, but there’s not much I can do about it, I pi---d off the wrong person. Anyhow, everywhere I look, benefits... — read more
Is every retail job like this nowadays?
I joined about a year ago, and I’ve been unhappy ever since. My immediate boss is rude and inconsiderate, the workload is barely manageable, and there’s no work-life balance to speak of. I’ve never felt this exhausted in any of my previous jobs, and... — read more
Covering Something Up?
All of the marketing articles being posted on this site seem to be an obvious attempt to shift focus from some pretty egregious complaints. Rather transparent.

GTS Townhall
Well a long waste of time again. SG just told us all to quit. That made a few of us laugh out loud. Let's see.
Layoffs are on the horizon
So Accenture and HCL are all here for Yale. It seems that the original plan that our CTO promised us around Yale have changed. It's not about just reducing our contractors and companies down to 1 or 2. Now the word is Layoffs to hit our CTO... — read more

RD and AT are cowards starting quiet layoffs
Such a fake fireside discussion from RD and AT. You could see and taste the uncomfortable feeling they had doing something that was as not natural to them. Also this should have been a corporate townhall, instead a FAQ and leave it to the rest to... — read more
No questions at all hands townhall
Well such an interesting Townhall. SG was good, the topics good. But no really ability to ask any questions. The one we all wanted to know is the 3 day in the office in HDC and the 4-5 day 2F rumor.
How to trust the New CTO
Wow. He talks about transparency and then hires behind AT back. SG has lost so much trust by going that way. Don't talk about honesty, transparency and trust and do this. Hey GTS LT watch your backs as SG will not tell you. You will be replaced and... — read more
Gap Layoffs 2025

Yale and Glue projects are XYZ 2

Thoughts on the new CEO?

Open roles and promotions during lay offs
They just sent out the org chart and after the layout there are so many open roles. Not to mention merchant promotions. It’s disgusting, they should have tried to move people into open roles, rather than just let them go.
Positions layed off
What positions were laid off????
Good or bad employee, it doesn't matter to Gap
When I saw which people were cut I was really disappointed. A colleague who was a role model employee lost his job……What kind of message does that send to us who are still here? Obviously, hard work isn't the key to success here.
How many people lost their jobs this week?
Anyone willing to share what areas and how many people (approximately) lost their jobs? Managers aren't telling us much.
This is nerve wracking!!!
The way this is being done is inhumane. Shame on everybody involved!
Can somebody provide an update?
What's going on? Has everybody been notified already? Or will it continue tomorrow?
