Accepting and starting new job within the 60-day period

Hi folks, if we accept a job within the 60 day WARN period and start, are we still eligible for severance?

Stay and work both and ensure you get your severance etc. Who and how would anyone know? Why is this even a question? onboard at new co. And start. Cisco job is in name only with no responsibility. Cisco just ends on the date and you return your equip/sign you paper etc. new co do back ground checks while you employees at old co, this is normal. New co does not check if you are still employed at old co. On start date. Why risk losing anything?

@OP no, if so, you are resigned by yourself, absolutely not qualified for severance, you can open a case in the helpzone to get consultant from HR.

Please check this carefully.

The 60 day warn period is a warning that you will be laid off in 60 days. You are still a full employee even though Cisco makes it impossible for you to even work or enter buildings now.

If you quit before your last day, I believe you give up severence.

Not sure if you can work new job while maintaining employment at Cisco,

Yes. You get the severance no matter what. Share severance details here.

You would be eligible for severance coincident with your days on the job. 1 week for every year of employment. So, mice nuts.

NO, cause when you first get hired you are on probation, meaning they can let you go no questions asked nor severance.
