@a3 I'm a bit confused, is the last date of employment Aug 13 or Oct ?
@bg I think only like 10 people in CA got hit, or fewer than the threshold to trigger WARN anyways.
@a3 do you know how this works in calif? i tried to search for california warn but not seeing f5 filed yet
@a3 there was at one time respect on this board. Please honor that....
Severance doesn't start until October. Until then we are getting our normal salary like we are still employed.
That WARN notice is from THIS layoff you dolt. The total number affected in WA state was 106. The received date was the date of the layoff, and the start date is 60 days from today. Technically those laid off today are entitled to 60 days of damages amounting to their salary and benefits. Since WARN damages are capped at 60 days, often employers will just give employees 60 days of severance and require them to waive the right to sue F5 for WARN damages (or anything else, like wrongful termination, etc) in order to receive the severance package.
Since this layoff was more than 50 people in WA state, if you are in WA and did not get at least 60, days of salary+benefits costs then you got ripped off.
