Can anyone clarify the current situation and schedule for Imperial’s Sarnia research facilities? I had heard they were being shuttered and relocated to Texas, but more recently I’ve seen that fewer than 100 personnel may be affected, with changes phased in through 2028.

Does anyone have factual updates or confirmation on what’s actually happening?

10/14/25 - Not a big layoff day due to Monday holiday
10/28/25 - Yes
11/11/25 - Not a big layoff day due to Tuesday holiday
11/25/25 - Yes
12/09/25 - Yes
12/23/25 - Yes, potentially but given the proximity to Christmas it's unlikely.

Had anybody heard anything about techs going to a core week schedule. Rumors kicking around that all techs are going to 5 8 hour days so that Intel doesn’t have to pay out overtime.

Last August Ruelas and Shanks said there would be a SKO 2025 in Feb, that never happened, yeah they were drunk and acting as clowns. Any ideas when it might happen ;-) …
