Hope all you tech folks got your Christmas shopping sorted. Looks like whatever BE is up to, it’s not happening in the U.S. right now. Hopefully you’ve been sharpening your skills—especially your prompting game—while things are quiet. Yeah, the last few years have definitely slowed down around the holidays here, mostly thanks to the U.S. calendar. But with more tech shifting to India, that might change—Diwali just wrapped up there, so their work rhythm doesn’t line up with ours.
Please let it be me, please let it be me. Or if it can't be me, please let it be one of the many people on my team who are waiting to get the call. On my team, we're not scared about whether or not we keep our jobs. We're scared about being the last one left since each lay-off means there are fewer and fewer people to do the same amount of work.
This Tuesday will hit tech extremely hard. Most of us are scared for our jobs.

Confirmed by whom? By BE?
Maybe not, but it's still more than they can do in 2.5 months. If the ONLY employees being downsized were tech, ok, they could do it, but tech isn't alone so if 3500 techies are going to have to go, it'll spill into next year. Especially since downsizing slows in late December and early January. It never comes to a complete stop, but it does slow dramatically during that time frame. It's happened every year for the last 3.
Thats only ~3,500, not a high number
HR isn't capable of processing that many in such a short time.
