H1B concubines (H1b favoritism, Bias, workplace credit fraud)

My boss is all in on using H1Bs, even with citizens and green card holders on the team who have the same skills. He’s literally taking work from U.S. employees and putting an H1B's name on it. The H1Bs aren't even doing the real work; they're just shadowing and secretly managing us.

This was never an issue for me before, but with layoffs happening everywhere and U.S. workers being the target, I'm worried. I already know HR is a dead end. I tried complaining to my second-line manager, and it just backfired. Now they just see me as a complainer and not assigning much work at all.

Any advice on what I can do at Oracle? Is there any way to report this H1B fraud to USCIS? or Silently move-on is the best solution ?
The main cause of this H1b fraud is an asian manager sitting at top and showing bias.

On Tech Labor Imports

The h1b program afects the american workforce in big ways. Any action on this is way too late, it still needs to be done ASAP.

it's not only about grads who cant get jobs...

many experieenced workers are LR'ed or pushed aside.

We often even train replacements!!!

people with years of dedication lose out, not for lack of talent.

the program is pure fraud, big outsourcers (infy, tata, accenture, etc.) scoop up almost all visas. this is a business model for them, had it not been for this program they would not be able to compete.

This happens because companies chase cheaper, easier labor over domestic skill.

the US worker is the party that loses.

New Visa Scam: O-1 and OPT

The new visa scam by those who have OPT (Optional Practical Training) when they don't get picked via the H1B lottery, is to apply for O-1 visa. So many are now applying for O-1 visa since they couldn't get in to USA workforce through H1B. The approval rate of getting an O-1 visa is 95%. Normally their are 20K applicants, and most are approved. I don't know what type of EXTRAORDINARY ABILITY (required for O-1) these foreign engineers and researchers have that US Citizen PhD or Masters graduates don't have. THE ENTIRE USA VISA SYSTEM HAS BECOME A SCAM FROM THOSE COMING FROM MAINLY INDIA AND CHINA, TAKING AWAY AMERICAN JOBS FROM AMERICANS.

Intel as an Employer

You probably already know this, working there.

Since BK and ACT, Intel has been hyperfocused on getting more work for the same or less money. ACT, the layoff when no layoff was necessary was the give away, but there were other things, like the focus on H1B’s. I don’t need to tell you it’s destroying the company; first you focus on getting a labor force that can properly fulfill your task needs and then you work on containing costs, especially when your product is a fragile cash cow. But instead our leadership considers labor to be “the only cost we can cut”

LBT is 100% on this and I’m sure you figured out on your own it’s just going to get more and more miserable as time goes by. The only way you can resist is leaving (but they love attrition)

Verizon sounds a lot like Walmart and their H1B Scandal!

Since we know that the FCC is following along to:

https://www.wnd.com/2025/08/bad-optics-walmart-scandal-exposes-deeper-immigration-hiring/

Walmart is reeling after revelations that a vice president in its Global Tech division allegedly pocketed bribes worth tens of thousands of dollars per day from Indian staffing firms. The scheme, exposed not by auditors but through anonymous posts on Blind and Reddit, led to the abrupt termination of about 1,200 contractors many believed to be on H-1B visas. The episode has sparked questions not only about corporate governance at America's largest retailer, but also about how deeply Walmart has relied on foreign labor pipelines to fill U.S. jobs.

This is happening everywhere H1Bs are hired.

This sort of thing is happening in every company where H1Bs are hired. The entire H1B system is corrupted and Trump should just reject all current H1Bs and all future H1Bs and all current Green Cards process while the person is still on H1B.

H1Bs Monopoly

Most of the H1Bs are remote and having working multiple jobs, and pulled unqualified spouses into the company. When will this stop? Ford is renewing H1Bs while laying off Americans!!! WAKEUP!!!!!

If the majority of impacted engineers are U.S. citizens and permanent residents, while H1B employees are retained and even promoted

If the majority of impacted engineers are U.S. citizens and permanent residents, while H1B employees are retained and even promoted, doesn’t that look like discrimination? the kind of story that would catch the attention of the news and even the White House?

Florida issues H-1B visa warning

https://www.msn.com/en-us/politics/government/florida-issues-h-1b-visa-warning/ar-AA1Ll7jB?ocid=socialshare

" H-1B, it's become a total scam," he said. These companies game the system. You have some of these companies that are laying off large numbers of Americans while they're also getting new H-1 Bs and renewing existing H-1 Bs. A lot of times people used to say: 'well you know we're getting the cream of the crop from all around the world.' The reality is that's not actually what H1Bs are, most of them (H-1Bs) are from one country, India, there's a cottage industry about how all those people make money off this system".

Why is every single recruiter Indian now?

Been looking around lately.
I turned on my LinkedIN account again.

Now, I get dozens of messages a day from +91 recruiters. There will be 4 or 5 from different 'contracting agencies' asking about the same position. Each claims "I am primary contracting agency, Saar. No other agency can contract. Do not redeem job offer, Saar."

They all just ghost after you bother to send a resume. Generally, they want an identity theft level of information and almost every time they bait and switch positions.

If you send them a resume, you would have been better served to wipe your ar-e with it and throw it in the toilet.

Don't reply to these people. Don't feed their resume harvesting. Ignore them. Block them. They are scammers.

Go to jobs.now and apply to stuff their PERM applications.

Only through grass roots action can we take back the tech industry that was built using US tax payer dollars and US consumer money.

End H1-b scam now!

Got H 1. B peer who is not laidoff ? Know your rights

This mainly applies to tech and lower management roles. If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and an H. -1. B colleague in the same role wasn't laid off, you may be eligible for additional severance or have grounds for legal action due to policy violations.
All you need is your manager's / second line's hierarchical Organization chart screenshot. You can also have some proofs of screenshots from git repositories to prove you have checked in code as same level as the H. -1. b candidate or performed similar activity as H. -1. b candidate if management. Ensure you are not laidoff due to your performance ratings.

Changes Are Coming: Proposed Changes To H-1B Visa Lottery System

Proposed Changes To H-1B Visa Lottery System

The Trump administration plans to end or change the H-1B visa lottery, replacing random selection with a salary-based or weighted system. The Office of Management and Budget is reviewing the rule, which could take effect by March 2026 for the FY 2027 cap.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuartanderson/2025/07/21/new-trump-immigration-policy-ending-the-h-1b-visa-lottery/

A similar rule finalized in 2021 ranked applications by wage levels but was never implemented. That system would have excluded most Level 1 and many Level 2 workers, categories that include recent graduates and early-career professionals. The new rule’s title, “Weighted Selection Process,” suggests a lottery with higher chances for higher-paid applicants.

Critics argue this approach disadvantages international students and undervalues talent in lower-paid fields. More than 70% of U.S. graduate students in computer science and electrical engineering are international, and most are paid at Level 1 or Level 2. Employers in science, medicine and education could also be affected.

Opponents say the change conflicts with the Immigration and Nationality Act, which requires petitions to be considered in filing order. Business groups and universities warn the rule could weaken U.S. competitiveness by limiting young skilled workers. The broader issue remains the low annual H-1B cap, which covers only a small fraction of the labor force and leaves high demand unmet.

Numbers Rollup:

  • 85,000 total H-1B cap (65,000 regular plus 20,000 advanced degree)
  • 343,981 eligible registrations for FY 2026
  • Nearly two-thirds of registrations rejected due to cap limits
  • More than 70% of graduate students in computer science and electrical engineering are international
  • 83% of computer science PhDs and 80% of electrical engineering PhDs in U.S. R&D are foreign-born
  • Level 1 and Level 2 wages cover about 90% of recent international graduates

Stop Blackrock H1B Abuse!!!

BlackRock has deliberately violated the intended purpose of the H1B visa by sponsoring many junior positions such as analysts and associates. These roles are typically suitable for qualified American young professionals, yet BlackRock prefers to hire foreign workers on H1B visas. The reason for this appears to be discriminatory practices, as managers—often of Chinese or Indian origin—favor hiring foreign candidates over qualified Americans. Additionally, their interview process is unfair to American applicants. H1B visas should not be permitted for junior-level roles at BlackRock, as this practice harms job opportunities for young Americans. The government must take action against a system that allows companies like BlackRock to exploit H1B visas, resulting in American workers losing jobs unfairly.

Contact the USCIS and report Blackrock visa abuse today!

Can we talk about H1B

so, why is there so much H1B at Dell, or even in other countries, when there are a ton of US based workers that have been laid off. I thought the purpose of H1B is to use folks from other countries when there aren't enough qualified US people to do the same job. I think in this current economy, we have moved beyond that. We have plenty of qualified US workers to do the jobs being done by H1B workers here in the US. I feel H1B is being abused and not used for its intended purpose. Companies are using it for cheap labor. I'm willing to be that there are plenty of laid off US workers that would be do the same job for the price they're paying the H1B people. Seems like we need to make a shift in this now changing landscape.

H1-B abuse at Fiserv

Before anyone cries racism, no that's not it. Some very talented people from overseas in this company.

The problem is that Fiserv are abusing the H1-B system to supress wages across the board and build itself an extremely compliant workforce. Their visa is dependent on them keeping their job. Fiserv knows they can underpay and take advantage of people who won't (can't) speak up about it. It's bad for both Americans and H1-B holders.

I know this widespread in tech, but I've been to a few of these companies and I've never seen a company abuse the system as much as Fiserv do.

Nike unprepared for talent loss

https://www.financialexpress.com/business/investing-abroad-h-1b-visa-wage-based-selection-process-gets-a-green-signal-rollout-to-happen-in-august-3951253/

Beginning in March our contracting firms will begin losing their employees as H1b renewals fail, or Nike is forced to eat +25% salary increases.

Executives will naively think they can continue using the same person by sending the role overseas too, but our offshored teams have been underperforming (despite the rosy metrics they share to leadership). Only underdone by teams slapped together without care for colliding working hours and bedtimes.

Tighten your seatbelts. 2027 will be dumpster fire after dumpster fire.

People Don't Get It

https://x.com/War4theWest/status/1878879358674510163

People outside of tech just do not get it.

It's a tsunami of Indian workers now, more then 50% of the Americans are gone.

Since H-1B is 34 years old, many who got here that way are now doing the hiring in these companies and hire Indians.

What's saddest to me is you lunatics out there who think merely mentioning the world 'Indian' makes this racist. Uh, no.

They massively abuse the system and are way overrepresented in visas - when we supposedly have country limits. They have violated the intent of our immigration system so thoroughly.

Even if we don't cut the numbers, we have to send 75% of the Indians in tech home. Even the green card holders.

Otherwise you will have an Indian run and staffed IT sector. If you are okay with that, you're insane.

Will Oracle's big layoff affect SAP?

https://www.thelayoff.com/t/1k2rztnsw

"Oracle blood bath is happening big time starting from yesterday (8/and still going on as of today. Oracle Cloud (OCI), Netsuite, VB, Jet, My SQL and other areas majorly affected.
No official numbers yet but around 10%.
Affected across roles:

H1Bs and US citizens
Employees based in India and in the US
Employees at all levels up to SVP
Low performers and high performers
New joiners and employees with 20 years at Oracle
Engineers and Project Managers"

.....Projects come to a screeching halt and I have to work weeks and weeks of overtime to cover the people that have to reapply for visas. For some reason, visas all have to be renewed in December? So my December gets all jacked up.

If they don't renew before their due date and wait the 6 month grace period, they need to travel to their home country for renewal. MAYBE they won't be allowed back into the US!
