Rumor has it that state street posts the positions after a U.S. employee leaves for 30 days but either freezes or pulls it so they can justify adding it to the H1B pool.
Anyone believe this to be true?

I don't know about strategy, but def SS hires many foreigners, including those with fake diplomas.
@k2 You're not in the right caste.
Of course. Just look around the office you're in.
Stop having fits about a foreign worker. Statestreet will soon see something like this: https://www.courthousenews.com/85-million-settlement-over-wells-fargo-hiring-practices-inches-toward-approval/
I have taken some fake interviews for my friends just to justify a pool.
Going to be Rin and his directs in Quincy and everyone else will be in India.
Is the company relocating to India?
It is no longer an issue. Low level h1b is gone. At this point only renewals will happen.
@j3 My boss is also H1B and his previous boss is also. I am not confident that he will ever appreciate me. I'm just staying silent right now, they deserve the tech debt they rack up for hiring incompetent and arrogant people.
Agree 100%
The H1B program was suppose to only be used if a company could not find enough workers in a certain job field. Now companies are using the H1B program to replace
highly skilled U.S workers with cheaper less qualified workers.
And yes if they cann't find an Sop to tell them what to do, they expect you to drop everything your doing to train/answer their questions.
They were never taught to think outside of the box, and find a solution on their own.
It is very discouraging when you hear your Boss or another Exec praise the H1B worker for finding a solution/doing a great job. Your caught between do I stay silence or stand up for myself and claim the credit for myself.
Maybe less the Bosses know who is doing the worker and all the problem solving
Agreed, they are horrible. It's pretty rare to find a decent H1B here.
I don’t know what’s going on with some of the H1Bs at State Street, but they often struggle to resolve even simple problems and constantly interrupt to pick your brain—then later present the ideas as their own. Whenever they see you solve something interesting, they immediately ask for an SOP or expect you to train them. And if you don’t have time to walk them through everything, they claim they’re “blocked” because of you. It creates a culture of finger‑pointing, dependency, and unnecessary stress.
I’m sorry but there are NO jobs at STT that can’t be done by an American. It’s all BS cronyism - with key leaders wanting all their foreign /non American buddies in power.
Not true. H1b is changing, no more lottery and 100K for new H1bs. New H1bs will be based on salary not a random drawing. No company will waste this on low level jobs
