Concerned what I see with companies this year with hiring & retaining H1B status employees. Trump’s shift on H1B quotas & increased cost is really encouraging most companies to avoid sponsoring H1B anymore. What moves will Cisco do with H1Bs in 2026, I getting more worried for 2026…

who are you sir?? why will a fake resume h1b any valuable than legit US engineer? ...please stop low grade Indian h1b hires at Cisco.. We can not train them.. they know nothing.... not even basic computer networking .. (even people having IIT degrees...) these people only play politics and word salads ..
US judge rejects business group's challenge to Trump's $100,000 H-1B visa fee.
Kick out outsourcing Asian companies from the US market and give H1-B to the real top talent. Dont give to every tom, di-k and harry !
Hire Americans first and then selected top talent for jobs that cannot be filled.
Facts are out there ! Enough of discussion! Implement the policies and stop the abuse of American workers and bias in hiring.
@hv Bingo.
I don't understand how so many people in tech don't see this. SMH
hmm.. SJC2578(huh) Is that you PPatel ?
Most Cisco H1Bs are hired indirectly through contracts issued to third party companies like WiPro, Cap Gemini, etc.

If they could have done that it would have been done ages ago. Many of us born US citizens were repeatedly offered the chance in all hands to move to India decades ago because they couldn't get enough bodies there. It wasn't a wink wink, nudge nudge about cutting costs. They were explicit about wanting to drop labor costs by a factor of four or more.
Considering Cisco calls itself a "software company," the numbers vary widely but it appears both China and India already have more software engineers than the US and they also have higher growth rates. At this point legacy American companies are probably no one's first choice.
It means jobs will move to India directly.
Your worrying means it's working - thank you!!
But...sigh, sadly it does mean just more red badges. Would be interesting to see a 20 year trend from Cisco showing the number of employees and contractors each year. It feels like there are fewer blue badges and more red badges every year.

no need for the visa, no need to pay North American-range salary
