Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

H1b on high risk

RF Sr Manager here Just had a meeting with my Sr. Director & it looks like most of the folks impacted on my team are H-1B employees, mainly to reduce OPEX costs. That’s really sad. We have some truly great people on the team and they’re top performers. It’s honestly worrying and disappointing.

@at Umm, no. The Americans and Europeans design things. You have to give the In Dee Ans a very specific roadmap/task list to get something done correctly. Generally incapable of independent thought and will steal a peer's work and present it as their own.

On calls its quite evident who are the smart ones. Americans are often dozing off or just browsing their phones. They have no idea what’s being discussed.

The whole country is America First. T-Mobile can get on board or get rolled.

Is T-Mobile America First now? That's very surprising.

@OP This is for next week. I'm also affected in some way but I'll be staying with company. I can't share more details here. If you have a good relationship with your manager or in some case sr manager, talk to them. Yes we weren't informed initially but over the last two days we've all been in discussions with our sr directors. If they're not part of the conversation, they should be worried

This message does not seem to be credible. If you are the Sr. RF Manager and had discussions with Sr. Director, a) you are telling that you will make your conversion public ? b) no RF layoff has been reported yet, what layoff you are talking. c) if that is for next week layoff then, Sr Manager are not consulted since their job itself is in question. Please give more detail which RF group is this. If not stop posting fake news.

@a2 H1B refers to an Employer sponsored visa program that can last 3 and extended to a maximum of 6 years. New H1B's cost the company 100K each
