Want to bet the vast majority of cuts will come from among us?

Senior management will remain untouched, as usual. For every executive who keeps their job, dozens of us will have to go. They'll go by the numbers to make their selections, which means the better you are, and therefore the more you're paid, the higher your chances of being cut. This company is slowly cannibalizing itself to pay for grandiose decisions that never made business sense.

Block Inc. Trims Arizona Staff Amid Global Cuts

Fintech firm Block Inc. is implementing layoffs. Eighty-three employees in Arizona are being cut. Affected roles include engineering, design, and sales. These reductions are part of a broader company initiative. Block Inc. is reducing its global workforce by 4,000 people.

How are we surviving

I've been working here for two years and still don't understand how they keep the lights on. The people running this place make decisions that hurt the business constantly. They ignore what customers want, run off good staff, and act surprised when sales drop. It's a miracle we're still around.

RTO policy is stupid

Why would a company that makes money from supplying computers to home workers mandate a policy that returns all worker to return to the office a minimum of 3 days a week?

You would think that, as a computer company, HP would encourage remote working to be an example for other companies to take note on how they can have remote employees too. HP would then continue to have a sales bo-m (like they did in 2020) on laptops to supply workers.

Bottom line, HP wants to justify having large useless buildings by filling them up again with employees.

Optum execs taking Disney trips during layoffs

Seriously disgusted.

How do they justify spending company dollars on trips to Disney World when thousands are being laid off?

You don’t hate this company enough.

I’m Making a Prediction

I predict Gail will leave the company within a few months (if not sooner), whether it’s her own decision or not. I’ve been here a long time and I’ve never seen a CEO stay as long as her. Our stock is tanking, and has been tanking for at least a year. I cannot believe she’s still the CEO. She’s the common denominator in all of our troubles.

Dumpster FIRE

P66 is literally a dumpster fire. I am utterly amazed that industry reporting and publications are remaining so silent. It could be that entities or people that stand to lose a lot are pushing the stock price up to get out. Make no mistake, there are significant internal issues and deficiencies that are on borrowed time. The reality I believe exists is that the damage is irreversible. The connection from top to bottom has been severed. There is no longer any trust or pride. It has become a purely transactional relationship between company and employee. One of the greatest petroleum stories ever in American history is on the brink of ending. Bartlesville will never be the same.

so like, what's the incentive to work hard?

Dell had a record breaking 120 BILLION dollar year last year, along with amazing quarters and yet... IBP multiplier was only 126%??? Raises were literally pathetic, promotions are MIA for US employees. Insperity points have been super scarce lately as well.

I love my job simply because it's actually fun, interesting, and easy... along with the fact that I work about 30 hours/week however, I'm failing to see the point in doing anything more than the bare minimum of my job at this point.

Margin over Membership

Like there was another option! ACA Membership is sinking like the stock price. You couldn’t increase membership if you had to. And as for the other mantra, “No margin, no mission”? Well that “mission” is unique to the US. The “mission” doesn’t exist in every other developed nation.
