I’m Making a Prediction

I predict Gail will leave the company within a few months (if not sooner), whether it’s her own decision or not. I’ve been here a long time and I’ve never seen a CEO stay as long as her. Our stock is tanking, and has been tanking for at least a year. I cannot believe she’s still the CEO. She’s the common denominator in all of our troubles.

Dumpster FIRE

P66 is literally a dumpster fire. I am utterly amazed that industry reporting and publications are remaining so silent. It could be that entities or people that stand to lose a lot are pushing the stock price up to get out. Make no mistake, there are significant internal issues and deficiencies that are on borrowed time. The reality I believe exists is that the damage is irreversible. The connection from top to bottom has been severed. There is no longer any trust or pride. It has become a purely transactional relationship between company and employee. One of the greatest petroleum stories ever in American history is on the brink of ending. Bartlesville will never be the same.

so like, what's the incentive to work hard?

Dell had a record breaking 120 BILLION dollar year last year, along with amazing quarters and yet... IBP multiplier was only 126%??? Raises were literally pathetic, promotions are MIA for US employees. Insperity points have been super scarce lately as well.

I love my job simply because it's actually fun, interesting, and easy... along with the fact that I work about 30 hours/week however, I'm failing to see the point in doing anything more than the bare minimum of my job at this point.

Margin over Membership

Like there was another option! ACA Membership is sinking like the stock price. You couldn’t increase membership if you had to. And as for the other mantra, “No margin, no mission”? Well that “mission” is unique to the US. The “mission” doesn’t exist in every other developed nation.

Something I'm not able to fully grasp

So it's a record quarter for Dell. Fiscal Numbers are good and all that. I keep hearing from both Glassdoor and here that there's so much wrong with ISG and CSG. Idrac su-ks. Power scale su-ks. Objectscale su-ks. Dell networking su-ks. Telco su-ks. Dell says EMC su-ks and EMC says Dell su-ks. This su-ks. That su-ks.

Now I completely get that gutting the employee count, not keeping up with the inflation does do some help with the fiscal position of the company where they can showcase more dollars, raise the stocks, etc. however I can't believe that that alone is a factor of a healthy fiscal quarter. There has to be genuinely good products that the company does produce to actually meet or exceed the expectations of the quarter right ?

So it's not technically a 100% trash company like some posts make it out to be ?

If it's not actually bad, then what areas does Dell do well, realistically speaking ? What are some actual positives ?

I'm not HR or Jeff or Michael. I'm just a regular I-7 in ISG, late 20s in age, trying to get some sliver of optimism in this mad world.

How many of y'all are from Nexient - now merged into NTT?

Wondering how many of you all in here are from the core Nexient company?

Really miss the old days where stuff was running so much smoother, Nexient as a whole was much better than NTT and layoffs? Pft, unheard of from me in Nexient.

Please tell me I am not the only one in here.

It's Time for a change

My impression: it's time for a change.
Raul has changed the Exec Board, tried a lot of things. Nothing helped.
Now a new leader will be looked for, with a new approach, new cronies.
It might take some month still, but I got a feeling the exchange of the CEO is inevitable.

What's your impression?
