Losing experienced employees on account of outsourcing and bringing on cheaper recent grads who have no idea what they're doing. All the experience is getting kicked out and somehow they think this place will continue functioning in the same way. Spoiler alert, it will not and I'm almost glad I won't be here to see the consequences.

Sadly this is the standard corpo purge. It's not about seniority (though many senior folks were hit) the common thread I'm seeing when talking to my friends and colleagues who have been hit across multiple orgs. Now keep in mind We don't know if there's a single factor or multiple or if it's a some many all or none situation. But Pay seems to have played a role nearly everyone I've spoken to turns out was paid over the midline at their level. HR situations I know of 2 people who were on the complaint and receiving complaint side of an HR issue who were both let go. And then stagnation as many had been encombant solid performers for many years without promotion (though this isn't hard and fast cause we also saw 1 person who was recently promoted) Tenure was all over the place 3 years for one person 22 for another so I don't think tenure was a big factor. Mind you my sample size is like 13 people

You sound like a jaded overpaid senior. Without influx of fresh grads you get no new ideas or views compared to others doing stuff "because it was always done like this".
If we were to stop hiring juniors we'd have no seniors :)
