Topics regarding layoffs at Cigna

General frustration.

Has anyone had a supervisor for the last month? I feel like they are setting us up to fail on purpose. Management has been in a meeting for like EVER. They are setting all these new goals in place and no one is around. I know it is a self starter... — read more

Cigna to divest Medicare

If Cigna is trying to dump Medicare, why are they enforcing all of this close monitoring of us? From the badge swipes for in office employees to the computer monitoring and now call recordings for the WAH employees. Is this just an attempt to get... — read more

I noticed a few mentions about the missing engagement survey this year. This was pulled from Glass Door and sums up current culture fairly well. “The most pressing concerns included poor management practices and a pronounced lack of adequate tools... — read more

So according to prior comments, without verification, there will be a date in January and another speculated date is also 2/24. If anyone has info in regards to dates or departments/teams it affects, please provide it below.

Other message boards for Cigna employees?

Does anyone know of other message boards like this for Cigna and ESI employees? This one has been helpful, but is specifically about layoffs. I’m wondering if there is one for general employee discussion about any topics. We can’t seem to get the... — read more

Who would Cigna sell Medicare to?

Based on the latest article that calls out a possible sale of Cigna Medicare as a precursor to a Humana-Cigna merger/sale... I'll like to hear people's opinion as to which company they speculate would buy Cigna Medicare.

This is not good

If this merger actually happens, layoffs will be absolutely brutal. I'll be praying for this whole thing to fizzle out.

I can't find a better option

At least pay-wise. I've been trying to find a new job for a few months and I've been getting offers, but the pay was always below what I make here. Which in itself is worrisome since Cigna is not among the better-paying companies. I knew already the... — read more

Why no employee 2023 "Insight Survey"?

Layoff Process

Just curious of the layoff process. Do you get an email invite from HR department or your direct manager? Do they send the invite the morning of or possibly day before?

Severance Pay Question

Reading the severance documentation, and it says it's based on years of service, but there's a minimum and maximum benefit applied. Does that mean by default, regardless of years of service, you're entitled to the minimum benefit?
